It’s hard to believe that we are just three games away from the end of the 2024 college football season. The semifinals start on Thursday night. 
But my goodness, we are getting two monster games to decide who plays for a national championship on January 20th in Atlanta, Georgia. It all starts with Notre Dame versus Penn State in the Orange Bowl, then we get Ohio State and Texas in the Cotton Bowl, which could be a mess for fans traveling to Dallas this week.

Montana State quarterback Tommy Mellott didn’t hesitate when reacting to losing the FCS national title.
The Bobcats entered the FCS national title game a perfect 15-0 against 13-2 North Dakota State, and were favored to leave Frisco as national champions.
Things didn’t go according to plan. NDSU was up 21-3 at halftime, and while Mellott pulled off some incredible second half heroics, the Bobcats still lost 35-32.
Mellott’s college career ended Monday night in Frisco on the field, and he felt the better team was going home with a loss.

The Crimson Tide have a major quarterback question for the 2025 season.
The Alabama Crimson Tide got some major news after their disappointing bowl loss to the Michigan Wolverines on Tuesday, as quarterback Jalen Milroe announced his intentions to enter the 2025 NFL Draft.
Milroe, a redshirt junior, had been Alabama’s starting quarterback over the past two seasons, leading the Crimson Tide to a College Football Playoff berth in 2023 before narrowly missing out in 2024.

The NFL over the weekend made an effort to memorialize the victims, families and others impacted by the terrorist attack in New Orleans on New Year’s Day. Except the league declined to refer to the incident as a terrorist attack.
