Roneeka Hodges, a former WNBA player and New York Liberty assistant, joins Rachid Meziane’s coaching staff in Connecticut.
The Connecticut Sun announced Friday morning that Roneeka Hodges, who served as an assistant coach on the New York Liberty from 2022 to 2024, has been hired as Rachid Meziane‘s new assistant coach.
Meziane, the Sun’s new coach, is a renowned French professional basketball coach who doesn’t have direct WNBA experience.

It might not have been pretty for Notre Dame at times during the Orange Bowl, but they once again found a different way to defeat a Top-10 team. This time, their efforts clinched a spot in the college football playoff national title game. 
You can call it ‘luck’ of the Irish, but it’s obviously time to move on from that loss to Northern Illinois in September. Throughout the week leading up to their game with Penn State, it felt as if Marcus Freeman had to come up with reasons why his team deserved to be in this spot.

Another teenager is balling out in a PGA Tour event, further proof that younger players have no fear on the biggest of stages.
Tyler Loree is not even old enough to vote yet, but he still fared better than 100 players during Thursday’s first round of the Sony Open in Hawaii.
The 17-year-old fired a 3-under 67 and currently sits in a tie for 26th after day one — an incredible accomplishment, considering he’s the only teenager in the field.
