While Floridians – myself included – spent the day Tuesday battening down the hatches for Hurricane Milton, the rest of America, and I assume our friends in Canada, were feverishly googling who in the world the newest Seattle Kracken assistant coach was.
Jessica Campbell, for those still searching (or who used Bing).
Campbell became the first NHL female coach in history Tuesday when she took her spot on Seattle’s bench (do they call it that in hockey?), and buddy, she grabbed the internet’s attention in a way I haven’t seen in quite some time.
Work sucks … unless you’re singing “All the Small Things” with a sold out Padres crowd during the MLB Playoffs.
The San Diego Padres might be the hottest team in baseball as the 2024 MLB Playoffs heat up. Blink-182 is somehow still one of the hottest rock bands in the world, selling out arenas everywhere more than two decades after their peak. Blink got its start in the early ‘90s playing pop-punk in and around San Diego.

The official schedule for the WNBA Finals between the New York Liberty and the Minnesota Lynx is set. The Lynx punched their ticket with an 88-77 Game 5 win over the Connecticut Sun, returning to the Finals for the first time since 2017. New York is returning for a second-straight year, this time after defeating the Las Vegas Aces in four games.

Tank Bigsby is a tackle-breaking machine for the Jaguars
The Jaguars picked up their first win of the season in Week 5 in a game filled with good vibes. The throwbacks returned (MAKE THEM PERMANENT), Tom Coughlin was inducted into the Jaguars’ Ring of Honor and most importantly: they ran that damn ball. Tank Bigsby played a huge part in that last part. Bigsby has really come on strong to begin his sophomore campaign and he’s showing some of the traits that made him an interesting back at Auburn.

Welcome to Week 6 of the NFL season, which also happens to be Week 6 of the fantasy football season. Donald faces a stern challenge next year at Bethpage Black, where he will be the first captain in 30 years to lead back-to-back Ryder Cup teams.
European Captain Luke Donald faces a near impossible task: winning a Ryder Cup on back-to-back occasions, on both European and American soil.
Only one man has accomplished that feat before, as the great Tony Jacklin captained the European side in four straight competitions from 1983 to 1989.

Which quarterbacks will shine in Week 6 for your fantasy football teams? We’ll take a look at all of them in our PPR rankings.
Week 6 of the NFL season is here and we’re finally seeing some truly big passing games, as teams get their offenses in order. Kirk Cousins showed that yes, the Falcons can put up big numbers through the air, as he threw for over 500 yards and four touchdowns last Thursday night. After watching quarterbacks fail to get to 300 yards passing as the norm this year, it was nice to see an offensive explosion.
Connor Stalions allegedly helped feed Ohio State information to beat Michigan State in 2021.
Stalions has started to go more public since leaving the Michigan Wolverines once his massive sign stealing cheating operation was blown wide open.
There was a fascinating Netflix documentary released about Stalions (known as CIA Stalions to some), and the dude’s brain is nothing short of fascinating. There’s not a thing he wouldn’t do to help the Wolverines.
That includes helping the Buckeyes when necessary.
