The Miami Dolphins have been on the outside looking in at the NFL playoff picture, and after Week 15 they might be permanently outside. The Dolphins entered Sunday with a 6-7 record and needed a win to keep moving in the right direction. Instead, they lost 20-12 to the Houston Texans and dropped to 6-8 on the season.

You won’t see a worse trick play this year in the NFL
Sunday’s game between the Denver Broncos and the Indianapolis Colts was critical for both teams, concerning the AFC playoff picture. As play began on Sunday the Colts, sitting at 6-7, were on the outside looking into the playoff field, while the Denver Broncos occupied the seventh and final playoff spot. But a win from the Colts would put them right in the thick of the playoff mix, and put a serious dent in Denver’s own postseason chances.

Someone watched the original “Space Jam” lately.
The Tennessee Titans made Tyjae Spears the fifth running back selected in the 2023 NFL Draft with they selected him out of Tulane with the No. 81 overall pick during the third round. Spears has mostly backed up Tony Pollard in his second pro season, and he had only gotten into the end zone once on the year entering Tennessee’s Week 15 game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Spears found the end zone again on Sunday, and it happened to be one of the coolest touchdowns of the season.

We need a do-over of this game in the Super Bowl.
The Buffalo Bills and Detroit Lions gave us absolute brilliance on Sunday afternoon. The marquee game of a stacked 4 p.m. slate was the best the NFL has to offer for three hours of incredible football.
At this point it’s abundantly clear: Unless you’re a fan of a playoff-destined team, you want, need to have the Bills and Lions face off in the Super Bowl.
