It wasn’t the best season debut for Bryce Young.
Bryce Young’s sophomore season with the Carolina Panthers began with an absolute disaster when he threw an interception on his first drop back of Week 1. It didn’t get any better from there. The New Orleans Saints blasted the Panthers, 47-10, in the season opener on Sunday. The Saints are not exactly expected to be a powerhouse this year, but they made the Panthers looked like an overmatched tiny college team while the No. 1 overall pick from the 2023 NFL Draft struggled again.

The second full week of the 2024 college football season is in the books, and the good teams started to separate themselves from the pack.
No. 1 Georgia handled business at home against Tennessee Tech, 48-3. Ohio State took care of Western Michigan, 56-0, but dropped in The Associated Press rankings Sunday. Texas’ defeat of Michigan, 31-12, catapulted it to No. 2 in the nation.
College football fans have a ton to look forward to, but it begs the question: Who were some of the winners and losers of the week?

Some folks in the tennis world are upset with Nick Kyrgios over something he said, or in this case, typed. In other news, water continues to be wet.
This latest ‘controversy’ involving Kyrgios involves World No. 1 Jannik Sinner and the Italian’s girlfriend, Anna Kalinskaya.
Ahead of Sunday’s U.S. Open final, which saw Sinner knock off American Taylor Fritz in straight sets, Kyrgios was tagged in a photo on X, formerly Twtitter, showing himself and Kalinskaya together at an NBA game some four years ago.

First NFL Sunday of the year. Race goes green right around the Witching Hour over on Red Zone.  You’re gonna tell me you were really locked in on Atlanta? Come on!
Doesn’t mean you didn’t have it on. I did – but it was on the teeny, tiny TV plugged in way over in the corner of the living room, while the Dolphins stealing one from Jacksonville was on the 80-incher (hey now!) mounted front and center.
