Florida won Little League World Series on a perfectly placed walk-off bunt.
Taiwan took a lead on the team from Lake Mary, Florida in the first inning of the championship game at the 2024 Little League World Series. Taiwan never trailed until the very last batter of the game, when a well-placed bunt and a big defensive miscue delivered Florida its first ever Little League World Series title.
Lake Mary beat Taiwan, 2-1 on Sunday night to cap a fantastic tournament. Florida also came from behind to win in the semifinals against a team from Texas.

Justin Thomas is headed back to the Tour Championship, thanks to a late round slide from Alex Noren.
Alex Noren did Justin Thomas a tremendous service by bogeying the last three holes to finish in a tie for ninth. He gifted Thomas with an invite to next week’s Tour Championship at East Lake in Atlanta.
When Noren stepped onto the 16th tee, a par-3, he sat in a tie for fourth and was projected to finish within the top 30 of the FedEx Cup standings.

For the sixth consecutive tournament, a team from the United States captured the Little League World Series. The team from Lake Mary, Florida (representing the Southeast region of the US) defeated Chinese Taipei in an extra-innings thriller on Sunday in Williamsport, PA.
Chinese Taipei was on the verge of claiming the crown, with the team from Florida down to its final out in the sixth inning (Little League games are six innings).
Florida had runners on first and second and got the clutch hit that it needed to keep the dream alive.
