We start this edition of NFL Highs and Lows with the bottom of the league fighting for the top of next April’s draft:
So, immediately, we have to note the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday got themselves their first victory since Oct. 20 when they delivered a stirring 10-6 decision over the Tennessee Titans.
“It feels great to get back in the win column,” Jaguars coach Doug Pederson said. “It’s been a while. Hats off to the players. They battled their tails off … You can see all of my excitement right here.”
That’s good for Pederson and the 2024 Jaguars.

The NFC North is the best division in the NFL, and it’s not particularly close. The Detroit Lions, Minnesota Vikings and Green Bay Packers have a combined seven losses this season.
What’s more, four of those seven losses have come against each other. That means that those three teams are a combined 28-3 against every other team in the NFL.
That’s absurd.
Of course, the division also includes the Chicago Bears. They are clearly the worst of the four teams, but probably not quite as bad as you think.

There’s a lot of blame to go around, but especially the architect of this mess.
The Bears made the change at head coach, and they’re still absolutely terrible. On Sunday the 49ers used Chicago as their stepping stone to get back on track after three straight losses, dominating all three phases of the game en route to a 38-13 beatdown that saw the Bears only amass 162 net yards of total offense, while Caleb Williams was sacked seven times.

How the Philadelphia Eagles’ ‘Tush Push’ compares to the most unstoppable plays in sports history
Is the Philadelphia Eagles’ “Tush Push” unstoppable?
Statistically, no, it’s not. Even at its peak in 2022, the play got a first down on 93 percent of attempts — 25 of 27, including 6 for 6 in Super Bowl LVII. Last season, they were down to 83 percent. But taken literally, that’s “stoppable” seven and seventeen percent of the time.
