To the surprise of most, things have gone very well for the Los Angeles Lakers so far in their first-round NBA playoff series against the Houston Rockets. They have scratched and clawed their way to a 3-0 series lead after a gritty 112-108 overtime win in Game 3 on Friday, and things are apparently about to get even better for them.
Austin Reaves, who has been out since sustaining an oblique strain on April 2, was abruptly listed as questionable for Game 3. He went through his pre-game preparations before the decision was made to hold him out of action.

The Los Angeles Rams invested in their offensive line during the third round of the 2026 NFL Draft on Friday, April 24.
The Rams picked offensive lineman Keagen Trost with the 93rd overall pick in the draft.
Trost provides versatility to the offensive line room, with the ability to play as either a guard or a tackle. He also displayed a level of durability, playing in all 13 games for Missouri this past season. His college career spans over seven years and he played for four different universities.

Deni Avdija had insult added to injury during the Portland Trail Blazersโ€™ Game 3 against the San Antonio Spurs.
The Blazers star got an elbow to the teeth from Spurs guard Deโ€™Aaron Fox late in the second quarter, knocking out part of his incisor. Fox was called for an offensive foul for the elbow, which left Avdija with a hockey smile.
