Ciganda shared her side of the story after being disqualified at the Evian Championship following her second round.
LPGA’s Carlota Ciganda was disqualified after the second round of the Evian Championship last Friday. The rules officials disqualified her for signing an incorrect scorecard resulting from slow play.
Following the incident, the two-time LPGA winner responded on her Instagram page, giving her side of the story.
“I got a few messages about the DQ from yesterday,” she said in an Instagram story.

Shortly after Lee Hodges picked up his first PGA Tour win at Sunday’s 3M Open, he received a congratulatory phone call from Alabama football coach Nick Saban.
Hodges played college golf at Alabama, so it seemed fitting that Saban would call him after his win. However, the call ended up sounding like an awkward situation for both Hodges and Saban.

A biological male rugby player in Canada who identifies as non-binary was reportedly removed from a match in June after allegedly injuring three female competitors. The man’s identity has now been discovered and according to his former team’s Facebook page, he was named ‘men’s hardest hitter’ just last year.
The original story about a transwoman allegedly injuring three separate female competitors was first shared by photographer Diana Murphy on Twitter. Murphy explained that after “repeated dangerous tackles” the trans player was finally removed from the game.

1. ESPN’s dismissal of longtime NBA analyst Jeff Van Gundy keeps getting weirder.
The New York Post’s Andrew Marchand reported Monday that ESPN is expected to go with a new lead NBA booth of Mike Breen, Doris Burke and Doc Rivers.
I fully expect this to be a very good booth because Rivers was an excellent analyst when he did TV, and Burke is outstanding.
But something still doesn’t add up when it comes to Van Gundy. The threesome of Breen, Van Gundy and Mark Jackson worked together for nearly 20 years. Van Gundy was widely regarded as the best NBA game analyst on television.

What was most impressive about Terence “Bud” Crawford’s one-sided win over Errol Spence Jr. was how easy Crawford made it look. For years the boxing world has been waiting for Crawford to square off against a peer. When he did, he made it obvious he doesn’t have one, at least not at welterweight, where Crawford dispatched Spence by landing 50% of his total punches, per CompuBox and a whopping 60% of his power shots.
It took 15 years, but Crawford is now in that sweet spot where his skill will meet opportunity.
