The Panthers lost their Thursday night matchup with the Bears, 16–13, which was as much of a slog as that final score indicates. The result came down to a game-tying 59-yard field goal attempt by Carolina’s Eddy Piñeiro, which fell short.
Coach Frank Reich may have felt that there wasn’t a better choice facing fourth-and-10 from the Chicago 41-yard line. Carolina only generated 213 yards of total offense and its touchdown came on a punt return by Ihmir Smith-Marsette. Quarterback Bryce Young had only thrown for 185 yards.

Virginia running back Perris Jones suffered an incredibly scary moment Thursday night against Louisville.
Jones appeared to take a shot to the head while advancing the ball after a short reception, and he immediately collapsed on the field fumbling the ball. The UVA RB was eventually carted off and rushed off to get medical aid.

Deion Sanders has absolutely no issue with players fighting in practice.
In fact, not only does the Colorado coach not have an issue with it, he thinks guys getting after it in practice is a very positive for the team.

Michigan and Jim Harbaugh continue to battle allegations the program ran a massive cheating scandal overseen by former staffer Connor Stalions. If the allegations of sign stealing are true, it would be arguably the greatest college football cheating scandal in decades.
