Football is a strange game. On TV it appears brutish and violent, but any closer examination reveals the childishness at its core.
Just listen to any of the league’s quarterbacks—for instance, Bengals signal-caller Joe Burrow—call out plays for his team. You’ll never take the NFL too seriously again.
Thursday morning, the league posted a clip on social media from Cincinnati’s 24–18 win over the Bills Sunday, depicting Burrow reading incomprehensible play calls to his attentive Bengals teammates.

The Giants have had a season to forget so far this year, as New York enters Week 10 with a 2-7 record. Frustration is clearly building within the locker room, as safety Xavier McKinney accused the coaching staff of not listening to team leaders after last week’s loss vs. the Raiders.

Cabrera is ready to start a new chapter on the PGA Tour Champions after serving time in prison for nearly three years.
Angel Cabrera, a former Masters champion, got out of prison on Aug. 4 after serving a 30-month sentence in Brazil and Argentina. Now, he is back on the golf course in his home country, gearing up for a possible return.
He last played a competitive round in 2020 at the Champions Tour’s Pure Insurance Open. But that burning desire to play competitive golf still burns.

Tyreek Hill still holds some warm feelings towards his former team the Chiefs and their fans.
Before last week’s game between the Dolphins and Chiefs kicked off in Frankfurt, Hill decided to surprise a lucky Chiefs fan on the streets who was in town for the game. 
The seven-time Pro Bowler dressed in a disguise, which included a long wig, mustache and beard. He even spoke in a different accent so fans wouldn’t suspect him.
He went around to various fans wearing Chiefs attire on the street asking if they would be interested in being in an NFL video.

A Trevor Bauer comeback seems possible now more than ever. Bauer has been away from an MLB mound since June 2021 after facing allegations of sexual assault from Lindsey Hill and three other women.
Bauer’s agents reportedly met with MLB teams this week. New York Post’s Jon Heyman said that the former Cy Young-winning pitcher’s representation has been in contact with ‘several’ MLB teams as the 32-year-old aims for a comeback after settling with Lindsey Hill last month.

Now, the United States’s flagship soccer league has an expanded television contract to show for it.
The NWSL has agreed to a four-year media deal with CBS, ESPN, Amazon and Scripps Sports beginning in the 2024 season, the league announced Thursday afternoon. In announcing the contract, the NWSL touted it as the “largest media investment in women’s sports history.
