Is Urban Meyer interviewing for the Michigan State opening this week? According to one report, the former Ohio State coach will interview for the job, and is also in East Lansing, with mutual interest from both sides.
FoxSportsRadio host Bernie Fratto is reporting that Urban Meyer is going to interview for the Spartans job, mentioning that Meyer has a lot of backers.
“My best mole tells me Urban Meyer will interview with Michigan State for their HC position,” Fratto wrote on social media. “Stay tuned. Yes, it’s real. It’s possible.

Michael Kay, who just finished his 32nd season as the television play-by-play voice of the Yankees, was tabbed to call the Blue Jays–Twins American League Wild Card series showdown on ESPN with former MLB shortstop Alex Rodriguez.
Kay, one of the best baseball voices in the game, is also the host of the popular “The Michael Kay Show” heard on ESPN New York. Prior to first pitch, the 62 year-old Kay shared his excitement to be on the call for the exciting American League matchup. 
But not everyone was as thrilled to see and hear the pair in the booth.

In 2021, a woman named Lindsey Hill accused then-star pitcher Trevor Bauer of sexual assault and strangulation. Bauer adamantly denied the allegations.
The Dodgers placed Bauer on administrative leave three days later and released him in 2023. He has not pitched in MLB since the reporting of Hill’s accusations.
On Monday, Bauer and Hill dropped their civil suits against one another. Hours later, Bauer posted a video where he read aloud text messages between the accuser and her friends, one in which she admits to her plan to shakedown another “victim.”

At long last, North America’s longest run of playoff futility is over. 
For the first time in nearly two decades, the Twins won a postseason game on Tuesday, downing the Blue Jays 3–1 in Game 1 of the American League Wild Card series. The victory marked Minnesota’s first playoff win since Oct. 5, 2004, snapping an 18-game losing streak that had grown into the longest such postseason run in North American sports history.
