Deshaun Watson’s terrible play is going to cost his coach his job.
The slow start of Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson has some fans questioning when the team can move on from the struggling QB. Despite having the most guaranteed money at signing of any player in NFL history, he’s 24th in passing yards, 31st in completion percentage, 30th in yards per attempt, 30th in quarterback rating, and 30th in QBR plus he’s taken the fifth-most sacks in the NFL this season.

The football world is waiting to find out whether Joe Burrow will play Monday night against the Rams, but some of us can’t wait that long. Bets need to be placed!
Regardless of whether Burrow plays, expect an intriguing matchup because the Rams have early breakout star Puka Nacua and a rejuvenated Matthew Stafford. But that’s just one of our top five games of Week 3.
The Falcons will put their undefeated record on the line against a talented Lions squad that’s coming off a heartbreaking overtime loss to the Seahawks.
Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton drops an epic helmet for the Japanese Grand Prix
When Formula 1 removed the “one helmet” rule in 2020, a rule which required drivers to keep the same helmet for the entire season, it sparked a wave of creativity in the sport. Drivers began to roll out themed helmets for races, helmets for charity, and more.
Lewis Hamilton might have raised the stakes ahead of this weekend’s Japanese Grand Prix, delivering a look that is seemingly out of this world.
Places like Ohio State and Notre Dame rarely hire head football coaches from within. Conservatively, those are two of the 10 best jobs in the sport, and as such they customarily draw some of the most established head coaches in the country as applicants. Between 1946 and 2018, Ohio State had one internal promotion and Notre Dame had two.
Yet when the Buckeyes and Fighting Irish play Saturday in South Bend, the men leading both teams out of the tunnel got those plum positions after serving as coordinators at the schools.
If he gets his way, Cowboys edge rusher Micah Parsons could soon have a Travis Hunter-like role for Dallas.
Parsons revealed Wednesday that he’s taken scout team reps at tight end and has been lobbying head coach Mike McCarthy for a spot on offense. In the college ranks, Colorado’s Travis Hunter was already pulling double duty for the Buffalos until suffering an injury last Saturday night.
Hunter had been starting – and excelling – at both corner and wide receiver. For his part, Parsons just wants a couple of plays here and there.

Why Fred Warner is like Starfield’s most terrifying villain
I must confess, I have been playing a lot of Starfield the past few weeks.
The video game, the latest release from Bethesda Studios, is their most ambitious yet. The company behind such games as Fallout 4 and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim has created a vast world to explore in their first foray into space. Starfield boasts over 1,000 planets for players to explore, and reportedly “countless” moons and space stations to visit.
For more than 100 years, Notre Dame has been breaking out green uniforms for big occasions, such as Saturday night’s game against Ohio State. Here are the stories behind the tradition.
Boston College has suspended its men’s and women’s swimming and diving programs after the school determined that hazing had occurred in both programs. In a statement released by the school Wednesday afternoon, Boston College said the programs have both been placed on indefinite suspension.
“Consistent with University policy, the matter will be investigated by the Office of the Dean of Students and adjudicated fairly and impartially through the student conduct process,” the statement said. “The University does not—and will not—tolerate hazing in any form.
Nathan Peterman is back with the Bears, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero. His absence lasted less than 24 hours after Chicago waived the sixth-year veteran.
Peterman was waived from the active 53-man roster on Wednesday, during a day filled with news and drama at Halas Hall. Perhaps the Bears intended to sign a different quarterback to back up Justin Fields. If so, that move doesn’t appear to have worked out and Peterman was re-signed.
Without Peterman, Chicago would have been left with undrafted rookie Tyson Bagent on the depth chart.
In this week’s edition of The Overhang, Nate Tice breaks down the how Ravens’ offense is much-improved, how the Cowboys’ defense unleashes a “simple and fast” approach and much more.
