For most of us, logging a good eight hours of sleep means you’ll feel pretty good the next day. However, Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Yusei Kikuchi needs to get 14.
The Blue Jays paid a visit to Yankee Stadium on Tuesday, and Kikuchi got the nod to start. He wound up staying in the game until the 6th inning. After walking Yankees first baseman DJ LeMahieu, Kikuchi left the game and was replaced by Yimi Garcia. He finished the inning, and the Blue Jays went on to win 7-1.
It was eventually revealed that Kikuchi was forced to leave the game because of a cramp in his left upper trap muscle.

Rookie running back Bijan Robinson, however, has lived up to expectations.
The RB has shined through two games, giving the Falcons offense an explosive option in both the running game, and the passing game.

Will Serge Ibaka be remembered for basketball, scarves or getting Kawhi Leonard to eat beef penis pizza? Only time will tell.
Napoleon Bonaparte carved Europe into one of the largest empires the world has ever seen. He ended the terror of the French Revolution. He implemented a code of law still used in parts of the world, such as the Canadian province of Quebec. Any of those achievements would be good bets for what he’s come to represent to the public today.
But all would be wrong.

Stephen A. Smith produced an eyebrow-raising take on two-way star Shohei Ohtani that had MLB fans rolling their eyes Wednesday morning.
Smith said on ESPN’s First Take that he didn’t believe Ohtani was worth the potential $500 million contract some expect him to receive in free agency this winter. While part of that take was based on Ohtani’s recent elbow surgery that will prevent him from pitching until the 2025 season, Smith also said Ohtani isn’t worth such a rich contract because the Angels haven’t won with Ohtani on the roster.

Anybody who‘s still showing up to A’s games deserves a ton of credit. It’s been more than a month since the stadium was even half-full (three months if you exclude games against the neighboring Giants) as Oakland limps to what’s likely to be the franchise’s worst record in more than 100 years and in what’s likely to be one of its final seasons in the city.
Some 6,294 hardy souls did show up for Tuesday night’s game at the Coliseum against the Mariners, an increase over the 4,972 who came out the night before, but still a paltry sum for an MLB game.

It’s only Wednesday, but Chris ‘Mad Dog’ Russo is already looking forward to his weekend without his wife at the house and laid out his rather epic plans during his midweek appearance on ESPN’s “First Take.”
As Russo explains, his old lady is taking a trip to Arizona to visit their son, Tim, who is an assistant coach at Northern Arizona. This leaves him riding solo this weekend with only his two dogs, booze, and a weed gummy to keep him company, and he’s absolutely fired up about it.

Russell Westbrook has been one of the most criticized players in the league over the past few years, despite the point guard’s ability to fill up the stat sheet. That criticism came to a head when Westbrook spent parts of two seasons with the Lakers, playing next to LeBron James and Anthony Davis.
While the public may be out on Westbrook, some NBA players seem to feel differently. Damian Lillard appeared on the Back on Figg podcast and defended Westbrook from those who believe he is no longer good.

1. This is one of those days where I’m not going to go on and on and on to sell you on watching a video. All I’m going to tell you is that on Wednesday’s First Take, Chris “Mad Dog” Russo described to Stephen A. Smith, Molly Qerim and Marcus Spears that he was going to spend this Saturday enjoying a cocktail, taking a gummy and betting $10,000 on Colorado against Oregon.
Sure, Russo deserves credit for creating some great television, but Spears deserves just as much for his reactions.
