Changes are coming for the start of the PGA Tour season.
It has often been said that the PGA Tour should look to start up proper once the Super Bowl is over, the NFL dominates all attention until then, and they could lean right into that. We all know though that they begin play in January and typically do so in Hawaii.

The New York Giants dealt three-time Pro Bowl nose tackle Dexter Lawrence to the Cincinnati Bengals over the weekend, and even though they got ample compensation in return (the 10th overall pick in the 2026 NFL draft), the move left a gaping hole in the middle of their defense.
The Giants will be looking to backfill that void via every means available to them, the draft, free agency, and, yes, even another trade.
Paul Schwartz of the New York Post expects the Giants to sign veteran D.J. Reader, who recently visited the team, following the draft to protect the compensatory pick formula.
When Tosh Lupoi left his post as defensive coordinator for the Oregon Ducks, part of the reason Chris Hampton was promoted to fill the role was to keep some consistency moving into 2026. That’s worked out well for the Ducks so far, bringing back arguably the best defensive line in the country and setting big expectations for the young secondary to improve off an already great 2025.
That doesn’t mean Hampton isn’t ready to do things his way, however.
