It’s almost fantasy football draft season! Over the last few years, managers who’ve put a greater emphasis on grabbing rookies in their drafts have been rewarded with sleeper stars and draft bargains the likes of Amon-Ra St. Brown, Chase Claypool and Brandon Aiyuk. Of course, a vital cog to that success is picking the players who could have a shot to be big parts of their offenses.

Chargers star running back Austin Ekeler will return to the franchise next season after reworking his contract with the team, according to a report from ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Ekeler, who requested a trade earlier this offseason, will now remain with the team after $2 million worth of incentives were added to his existing contract. The 28-year-old running back will be a free agent following next season, as he enters the final year of a four-year, $24.5 million extension he signed following the 2019 season.

Austin Ekeler isn’t going anywhere, at least not anytime soon, after he and the Los Angeles Chargers have come to terms on a deal that will keep him with the franchise.
Ekeler requested a trade out of LA earlier this offseason, but according to Adam Schefter, the running back will remain with the Chargers for the upcoming season after close to $2 million in incentives have been added to his current contract.
The 28-year-old, who led the league with 18 total touchdowns a season ago, is still slated to become a free agent at the end of the 2023-24 campaign.

LeBron James‘s season came to an end Monday night. And his cryptic postgame comments after the Game 4 loss to the Nuggets have fans wondering if it may have ended his career too. 
James came out firing in the first half, scoring 31 points. He wasn’t as electric in the second half, scoring just nine points as Denver stormed back and clinched its first-ever trip to the NBA Finals. The 38-year-old NBA legend had a chance to tie the game in the final seconds, but the Nuggets were able to clamp down on him defensively. His shot didn’t even hit the rim.

Following the Lakers’ sweep at the hands of the No. 1 seed Nuggets on Monday night, LeBron James was cryptic regarding his plans for next season.
“We’ll see what happens going forward. But I don’t know,” James said. “I don’t know. I’ve got a lot to think about, to be honest…just for me personally going forward with the game of basketball. A lot to think about.”
James, who turns 39 next December, just concluded his 20th NBA season, but was limited to 55 games due to a foot injury he suffered late in the year.
