The Lions released new alternate helmets on Wednesday and the internet’s opinions were… mixed. 
The new helmet, which is set to be worn with the team’s all-gray uniforms, is a light blue never been worn by an NFL team and features a throwback logo to honor the team’s past. 
The team announced the helmets with a slick video posted to social, but that didn’t stop some fans from questioning the new look.

Mercedes has improved, but will wins follow?
After a slow start to their 2023 Formula 1 season, Mercedes brought some long-anticipated upgrades to the W14 with them to the Monaco Grand Prix.
Since them, the team has seen marked improvement in results on the track. Entering the Monaco GP, Mercedes was in third place in the Constructors’ standings, six points behind Aston Martin. Now with eight races in the books, the Silver Arrows have inched into second place, sitting 13 points clear of Aston Martin.

If not for the coverage of the Athletics and their proposed move to Las Vegas, the Royals’ ineptitude this season would garner more attention. With its worst 73-game mark in franchise history, Kansas City (20–53) is on pace for 118 losses, which would blow away its previous high of 106 in 2005.
Oakland’s steep decline from 86 wins just two years ago seems an intentional lack of commitment toward getting either the city of Oakland or Las Vegas to pony up money for a ballpark.

Memphis men’s basketball coach Penny Hardaway will serve a three-game suspension at the start of the 2023–24 basketball season due to compliance issues, including recruiting violations, within the program during the 2021-22 academic year, the NCAA announced on Wednesday.
Hardaway and one of his assistants committed the violations when they took part in two illegal in-home recruiting visits with a highly touted prospect during his junior year of high school, according to the Division I Committee on Infractions.
