The former Maryland star is reportedly out as head coach of the Eagles.
Coppin State has parted ways with head coach Juan Dixon, according to Stadium’s Jeff Goodman.
Dixon, a former NBA player and All-America player at Maryland, led the Eagles program to a 51-131 mark in six seasons including a 9-23 record in the 2022-23 season. The former Terrapins star took over the program ahead of the 2017-18 season.
Dixon accumulated his highest number of wins in the 2019-20 season, when Coppin State won 11 games.

Milwaukee is keeping the big man for the rest of the year.
Meyers Leonard is set to stick around with the Bucks for the remainder of the 2022-23 NBA season, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN. 
Meyers, who latched on with Milwaukee via a 10-day contract earlier this year, reportedly has signed a deal to extend his stay through the end of the season following the expiration of his second 10-day deal.
He’s appeared in five games for the Bucks this season, averaging 6.8 minutes, 2.8 points and 2.0 rebounds per game.

Vander Esch has spent his entire pro career with Dallas.
After putting together a top-five defense in 2022, the Cowboys retained a key piece of the puzzle Tuesday.
Dallas reportedly has reached an agreement to re-sign veteran linebacker Leighton Vander Esch to a two-year deal, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. The deal will be worth a potential $11 million.
Vander Esch, 27, has spent his entire career with the Cowboys after being selected with the No. 19 pick in the 2018 draft.

March Madness got underway on Tuesday night as Southeast Missouri State played Texas A&M Corpus-Christi in the NCAA First Four. The two No. 16 seeds battled it out for the honor of playing No. 1 overall seed Alabama in the First Round.
Not long after the Redhawks and the Islanders duked it out, Pittsburgh and Mississippi State were set to play in the First Four of the Midwest Region. Fairleigh Dickinson and Texas Southern, and Nevada and Arizona State were the other four teams selected to play in the First Four.
