On the court, French center Victor Wembanyama is being billed as one of the best NBA draft prospects of his generation, renowned for his unprecedented versatility at the height of 7’5”.
As it turns out, that versatility extends to social media, too.
Wembanyama delivered a perfectly deadpan April Fools’ Day joke on Twitter Saturday morning, doubtlessly horrifying fans of the many teams gunning for his draft rights in the process.

While Dawn Staley was not thrilled about South Carolina’s Final Four loss to Iowa on Friday, the legendary coach was also not happy about the ongoing negative labels attached to her basketball program.
Prior to Friday’s game, Iowa head coach Lisa Bluder referenced someone who described going up against the Gamecocks for rebounds was like “going to a bar fight.” Staley did not take kindly to those remarks. After Friday’s defeat, she addressed the stereotypes regarding her team’s physicality and style of play, something that has been a topic of discussion the entire season.
New York Mets fans may want to run those numbers again!
According to multiple Mets ticketholders, the team has skimped them on the amount of games that are supposed to be included in some of their ticket packages.
For example, the Mets “20-game” ticket package doesn’t actually include… 20 games.
Fans alerted the New York Post about the confusing situation. The outlet reached out to the team and asked why some fans received 17 or even 16 games instead of the allotted 20.
Their reasoning?
The “20-game” package is essentially just a name.
Oh.
Opening day for the Los Angeles Angels and Anthony Rendon didn’t go quite as expected.
The Angels lost to the Oakland A’s 2-1 and Rendon went 0-3 with a walk and two strikeouts. Things went much worse from there.
After the game, Rendon went over to an A’s fan who’d apparently been heckling the star third baseman. Rendon grabbed him by the shirt, accused the fan of calling him a “b****,” and then took a swing at the fan, which missed.
Charles Oakley said some fighting words about Michael Jordan in a sit down interview with Kevin Garnett.
Virtue-signaling Dawn Staley — who made news last year by canceling the program’s game with BYU for no reason whatsoever — blasted the national media following South Carolina’s Final Four loss to Iowa.
It appears the longtime coach was NOT happy with how her team was allegedly portrayed throughout the tournament.
“We’re not bar fighters,” Staley said when asked about the narrative surrounding the team. “We’re not thugs. We’re not monkeys. We’re not street fighters. This team exemplifies how you need to approach basketball, on the court and off the court.
At 38-39, the Raptors are currently hanging on to a spot in the play-in tournament with five games left in the season. Toronto is tied with the Hawks for the No. 8 seed in the East and just a game back of the Heat for the No. 7 seed.
However, while the Raptors season will likely extend by at least one game following the regular season, Nick Nurse is already thinking towards the future. Toronto’s coach told the media he will need to mull what he wants to do next year once the season ends.
This has been a tournament like no other — and now we have a Final Four that is as far from last year’s group as it gets.
Bills legend and Pro Football Hall of Famer Jim Kelly believes that Buffalo needs to get more talent in the running back room to help star quarterback Josh Allen.
“Josh can’t do everything by himself, and I hope they find a way to get a star running back,” Kelly told News 10 NBC Rochester.
The Bills have great belief in young running back James Cook, and added former Patriots running back Damien Harris in free agency to help ease the loss of running back Devin Singletary, who left in free agency to join the Texans.
“I always thought Singletary was pretty good.
The LSU women’s basketball team is off to the NCAA title game, and it took a full team effort to get ’em past Virginia Tech Friday night.
And I’m not just talking about the players.
Less than a minute into the game, a wayward shot sent the basketball up and into the back of the hoop, where it promptly got stuck and delayed the action.
Not to worry, though! The LSU cheerleaders took a break from the hold up, wait a minute, let me put some spirit in it and quickly came to the rescue.
Teamwork makes the dream work!
