Bobby Petrino was officially announced as the new offensive coordinator at Arkansas on Wednesday, completing a full circle arrangement for a program that was once under his direction as the head coach.
Petrino was certainly excited to move on from Texas A&M, where he spent one season as the offensive coordinator under Jimbo Fisher. But he also admitted that he never felt comfortable scheming up the offense for the Aggies in his lone season at the helm.

This is a great week of football. Hopefully that means a great week of making some money as well.
The best game of the season may well be upon us, along with being an NFC title game preview. The 49ers lost to the Eagles last year in the conference championship game and spent the last 10 months lamenting the absence of Brock Purdy in that game. Now, they get their chance to prove they’re the better team with Purdy and the rest of the roster in good health.
Elsewhere, the Chiefs and Packers tangle at Lambeau Field on Sunday night.

Tepper hasn’t just brought mediocrity to the Panthers, but apathy
David Tepper had 10 minutes, 600 fleeting seconds to reassure not just a fanbase, but a city, that everything was going to be okay. In the 23 YEARS prior to Tepper taking over the Panthers the team only had four head coaches under Jerry Richardson’s ownership.

Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh has already been linked to two coaching jobs, according to NFL insider Dianna Russini.
On Wednesday, Russini told Colin Cowherd on The Herd that Harbaugh’s name is “respected in league circles” and at least two teams could be interested in what he could bring back to the NFL: the Panthers and the Bears.

It’s no secret the Wizards are one of the worst teams in the NBA this season.
An incongruent offense and lackadaisical defense are the primary factors to Washington’s 3–15 start to the season. But after the team’s latest loss on Wednesday night, a 19-point defeat at the hands of the Magic, wing Kyle Kuzma honed in on the defensive struggles specifically.
“We can’t guard a stop sign,” Kuzma said following the 139–120 loss. “That’s kind of really what it boils down to. We let anybody get whatever they want on us.
