Instances of athletic teams spying on opponents are about as old as organized college competition itself. Traditionally, when the opponent being spied upon finds out about it, the conflicts are handled quietly behind the scenes.
“Coach to coach, athletic director to athletic director,” says attorney Stu Brown, who has represented coaches and administrators in NCAA cases for many years. “Or within a conference.

Iowa State’s 30–10 Big 12 conference win over Cincinnati last Saturday proved costly for Chiefs star tight end Travis Kelce.
Kelce, who is a Cincinnati alum, lost a bet to Brad Gee, who is Kansas City’s vice president of football communications and an Iowa State grad. As a result, Kelce had to sport the headgear of the Cyclones mascot, Cy, during a press conference on Friday.

Well, as soon as I can get my hands on the Michigan-Rutgers tape from Sept. 23, I’m going to check for loud thumps on a garbage can before Michigan snaps the ball.
Are Michigan and football coach Jim Harbaugh following the Houston Astros’ lead on sign stealing? That is the subject of an NCAA investigation that just came to light this week.
Greg Schiano Basically Called Michigan A Bunch Of Cheaters Last Month And We All Missed It
That was a terrible and embarrassing controversy that soiled the Astros reputation probably forever. Major League Baseball fined them $5 million.
Given that no other player in the recent history of the NBA has received more slander than Ben Simmons, it’s easy to forget that he played in three consecutive All-Star Games with the last coming in 2021. In other words, Ben Simmons wasn’t just good three seasons ago, he was great.
To say things have gone downhill in a hurry for the former first-overall pick over the last two seasons would be a gross understatement. Simmons didn’t play a game during the 2021-22 campaign while refusing to play for the Philadelphia 76ers.
Multiple Big Ten staff members identified analyst Connor Stalions as Michigan’s sign-stealing guru. He has since been suspended with pay as the NCAA looks into the matter.

Riley Gaines spoke with Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Missouri) regarding a conversation the senator had with NCAA president Charlie Baker on Wednesday. Hawley asked Baker a line of questions regarding the organization’s policy on transgender athletes in women’s sports. Both Gaines and Hawley were left categorically displeased with Baker’s half-hearted response.
On the latest episode of ‘Gaines For Girls,’ the former All-American swimmer discussed how Baker’s response shows that the NCAA still can’t take a firm stance on this issue.
The NFL fined Seahawks safety Jamal Adams $50,000 for inappropriate conduct towards a doctor on the bench of last week’s game vs. the Bengals, CBS Sports’s Jonathan Jones reports. According to the report, Adams “directed verbal remarks and made inappropriate physical contact” with an unaffiliated neurotrauma consultant (UNC) who was taking wide receiver Jake Bobo to the medical tent.
The league claims that Adams interfered when the UNC was treating Bobo for a potential concussion. Bobo would go on to clear concussion protocol and reenter the game shortly after.

Of course, Paul asked the question all golf fans want to know; how much did Koepka sign for.
“It was pretty good.
The Liberty’s season came down to eight seconds, one point, a struggling double-teamed Breanna Stewart and a missed Courtney Vandersloot three. But really, it was so much more than a last-ditch drawn-up play gone wrong that sealed New York’s fate as WNBA finalists rather than champions. “I put the ball in the hands of the MVP because we trust her,” coach Sandy Brondello said after the Game 4 loss of Stewart getting the ball. “It just didn’t work out today.”
New York’s stated objective ahead of the 2023 season was to win a championship.
