The guard FaceTimed his wife in the hospital room from his hotel lobby in Arizona.
Chiefs guard Nick Allegretti had a big Sunday before Super Bowl LVII even kicked off.
His wife, Christina, gave birth to twin girls at 3:30 a.m. in Chicago while the Chiefs player was in Arizona preparing for the Super Bowl matchup vs. the Eagles.
NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported that Allegretti and his family were able to FaceTime Christina and her family from the hospital room while she gave birth to the twins.
Allegretti started in three games this season, last playing in Week 13 vs. the Bengals.

A year removed from resigning as CEO of the Marlins, Derek Jeter has revealed his next move.
Jeter was introduced as the newest member of Fox Sports’ MLB broadcast team during the network’s Super Bowl pregame show on Sunday. He’ll join a crew that includes Alex Rodriguez and David Ortiz.
“I was on set at the World Series in Philly, and Ortiz kept showing me his World Series ring,” Jeter said of his decision to move into broadcasting.

Clyde Edwards-Helaire is a surprise healthy scratch for Chiefs in 2023 Super Bowl.
The Kansas City Chiefs have announced their seven inactive players for Super Bowl LVII against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday and running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire is among them.
He was recently reinstated from injured reserve, but he practiced this week. Sunday, though, he is a healthy scratch and the Chiefs’ most notable inactive player in the Super Bowl.
The Fox analyst had the whole crew laughing during the network’s Super Bowl pregame coverage on Sunday.
Fox NFL analyst Terry Bradshaw had the whole set in stitches on Sunday afternoon as he recounted one of his first endorsement deals as a player during the network’s Super Bowl pregame coverage.
The only problem was that Bradshaw couldn’t pronounce the name of the popular footwear company, Puma.
“I made $30,000 my first Super Bowl year, and I didn’t have enough money to fly my mom and dad down to get them a hotel room,” Bradshaw began.
Derek Carr had ice in his veins as a clutch fourth-quarter QB, but this is next-level cold.
Carr will reportedly not accept a trade partner for the Las Vegas Raiders — forcing the team to either pay him $40.4 million in contract guarantees or cut him by Feb. 15 as part of his no-trade clause, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
The vengeful move by Carr comes after the Raiders limited the 31-year-old QB in his search for a trade partner for LV.
Sources: #Raiders QB Derek Carr has informed the team he won’t accept a trade to the #Saints or any other team.
One of the most influential moments of the NFL season came in a Week 17 Monday Night Football battle between the Cincinnati Bengals and Buffalo Bills. Bills safety Damar Hamlin collapsed on the field and received CPR, nearly losing his life.
Now, over one month later, Hamlin spoke to Fox Sports prior to Super Bowl LVII between the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs.
Damar Hamlin is here. That I can write that sentence is a blessing for multiple reasons.

This was certainly a choice!
Super Bowl Sunday is here. Finally. Soon we’ll be able to stop with all the hype and just sit back and watch Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs battle Jalen Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles with the Lombardi Trophy on the line.
Before we get to the game, though, we have to talk about Chiefs running back Jerick McKinnon and the suit he wore to Super Bowl LVII. I don’t know if you’ve seen this yet or not but the dude wore a green and white suit—which are the Eagles’ colors—to the game.
It all comes down to this. Patrick Mahomes leads the Chiefs against a ferocious Eagles defense while Philly QB Jalen Hurts tries to solve KC’s Chris Jones & Co.
There are so many storylines surrounding Super Bowl LVII. Andy Reid faces the team he formerly led to four straight NFC Championship games. Brothers Jason and Travis Kelce face one another.
But there’s a major theme developing between the two teams that is going wildly underreported. That would be the potential for three different Chiefs and Eagles to have children born on Sunday.
One, Chiefs guard Nick Allegretti, already had twins born to wife Christina early Sunday morning.
Derek Carr has a no-trade clause in his contract, and according to Ian Rapoport, he’s using it.
