Nebraska tight ends coach Bob Wager has resigned after he received a DUI citation earlier this week, the school announced Friday.
According to Lincoln, Neb. police, Wager was stopped by officers just before 1:30 a.m. local time Wednesday and was cited for having blood-alcohol content of 0.15 or higher, refusal of a preliminary breath test, refusal of chemical test and having an open container.
“It is with great remorse that I resign from my position as assistant football coach at the University of Nebraska,” Wager said in a statement Friday.
