What an incredible performance!
China’s Guo Jincheng smashed the 50m S5 world record at the Para Swimming Championships in Manchester on Monday night, finishing over three-tenths of a second ahead of the previous record. Video of his achievement needs to be seen to be believed.

Guo sacrificed himself for the record, stretching and smashing head-first into the wall to ensure his time was as quick as possible. It paid off, as he became the first para athlete to break the 30 second barrier in the S5 classification.

Mariners reliever Matt Brash has made a habit of making batters look foolish. Last week, he almost made Twins utilityman Willi Castro fall down with a curveball in the dirt. On Monday night, he made Red Sox infielder Yu Chang his latest victim. 
Brash worked a one-two-three seventh inning, throwing just 13 pitches in the process. The filthiest of those pitches was the second one he threw to Chang. Ahead in the count 0–1 after dropping a slider in the top of the zone, Brash went back to the slider again and Chang could only muster a feeble wave at it.

With the first college football games of the 2023 season less than a month away, ESPN revealed its new season-long anthem for the sport on Tuesday.
This year’s song is “Something Real” by Post Malone, which was featured in his new album “AUSTIN,” released on Friday. The network unveiled the choice as part of a highlight video released on social media Tuesday, meant to drive excitement for the new season.

Although Tiger Woods has not played much golf lately, he will impact the game going forward in his new position with the PGA Tour.

To say that there is a quarterback controversy in New England would be inaccurate. To say that there are questions surrounding the position would be fair.

Serena Williams is pregnant with her second child, and the tennis legend announced on Monday what the gender of the child will be.
The 23-time Grand Slam champion and her husband, Alexis Ohanian, are expecting another girl, the couple announced in a YouTube video.
The couple found out in quite a spectacular way as drones spelled out “It’s a…” as the guests waited patiently to see the gender. Then the drones spelled out “girl.”
Williams’s daughter, five-year-old Olympia, was just as excited as her parents when the news became official.

NFL fans will have to wait a little while longer for Aaron Rodgers’s highly anticipated Jets debut. The future Hall of Famer will not be playing in Thursday’s Hall of Fame Game, which pits New York against the Browns in Canton, Ohio.
Rodgers was dealt to the Jets in April after a down year that saw Green Bay miss the postseason for the first time since 2018. His new team is hopeful he can lead them back to the playoffs and end a franchise-record 12-year drought.

Jalen Ramsey appeared at Dolphins practice Tuesday morning after he underwent knee surgery on Friday and fans in attendance welcomed him back with nothing but love. While on the field with help from some crutches, fans can be heard chanting “Jalen” in the background in a show of support for their injured star cornerback. 
Ramsey was the acquisition of the offseason for Miami after the Rams traded him back in March, but unfortunately a meniscus injury suffered Thursday will likely sideline him for sizeable portion of the regular season.
