It sounds like Luke Fickell would appreciate Wisconsin fans tapping the brakes a bit when it comes to expectations.
The Badgers open the season in less than a month, and it will be Luke Fickell’s first regular season game with the team.
Wisconsin stole him from Cincy after firing Paul Chryst. After three straight years of mediocre play on the field, the Badgers made a much needed change.
Hype has hit a deafening level. Fans can’t wait for the Fickell era to be rolling, but it sounds like he wants everyone to relax.

Luka Doncic is spending his offseason playing for the Slovenian national team, and as such has appeared far superior to his opponents on the international stage.
The most recent matchup was no exception.
With Slovenia playing against Greece, Doncic hit opposing defenders with a dizzying array of crossovers and step backs, to the point that he made one defender trip over his own feet.
After the defender fell backwards, Doncic stared him down, then stepped in and hit a layup while drawing a foul.
The play left fans, as well as his teammates in awe.
Ahead of Jake Paul’s much anticipated “boxing match” against former UFC fighter Nate Diaz, a former adversary of Paul’s is throwing out some harsh fight-fixing accusations.
Bellator MMA fighter Dillon Danis – who had been going back and forth with Paul about a possible boxing match in the past, has released DMs from Paul’s on-again-off-again coach, “Sugar” Shane Mosley.
In the alleged DMs, Mosley says that Paul would only fight Danis if he knew that he was injured or was somehow not 100%, which would obviously heavily favor Paul to continue his then-winning streak.
Following 48 hours of conference realignment that left the Pac-12 sitting with just four teams (Washington State, Oregon State, Cal and Stanford), the ACC presidents met on Friday night to discuss the next steps of conference realignment, according to a report from Ross Dellenger of Yahoo!.
Per Dellenger, the ACC “seriously explored” adding 5-7 Pac-12 schools as the conference’s uncertain future loomed.
Like it or not, college football isn’t the same as it used to be.
NIL deals, sponsorships and big-money TV contracts have turned our sacred Saturdays into a corporate cash cow. And truthfully, it was probably unavoidable.
But amid the dismantling of the Pac-12 Conference this week, Washington State head football coach Jake Dickert wondered aloud if all this money might be ruining the sport completely.
“It’s one of those things, guys, that we have to control what we control,” Dickert said regarding the state of the Pac-12. “It’s amazing to me.
Logan Paul is kicking off SummerSlam. Jake Paul is fighting Nate Diaz. The Paul brothers are making waves once again.
Nate Diaz was in prime form Friday night ahead of his fight against Jake Paul.
Diaz and Paul will get in the ring Saturday night in Dallas for a boxing match that heavily favors the latter.
Paul is a +425 favorite on DraftKings as of Saturday morning. He’s expected to steamroll the former UFC star, but Diaz doesn’t seem to care.
In fact, he couldn’t seem to care at all about whether or not he wins. All he cares about is reminding people Jake Paul isn’t a legit fighter.

BYU perfectly played its welcome for Utah joining the Big 12.
College football has been consumed by absolute chaos over the past few days as fans watched realignment jockeying play out in realtime.
Well, everything seemed to come to a conclusion by the time Friday ended. Oregon and Washington are going to the Big Ten and Colorado, Arizona, Arizona State and Utah will exit the PAC-12 for the Big 12 in 2024.
University of Oregon Board of Trustees chair Steve Holwerda is literally voting to join the Big Ten from the golf course.
