NBC color commentator Paul Azinger has struck again at the Open Championship causing fans from all over the world to bring out the skewers.
Paul Azinger is at it again. NBC’s coverage of the 151st Open Championship came on the air at 1 am ET, but Azinger did not join until 10 am ET. It didn’t take long for some of his off-the-cuff quips to elicit fan reactions ready to kick him off the air.
The fourth major of the year has been highly entertaining. However, it isn’t because of the broadcast teams — those have not been good.

Yaqub Talib, the brother of former NFL star Aqib Talib, pleaded guilty Thursday to the murder of a youth football coach.
The incident took place in August 2022 at Lancaster Community Park in Lancaster, Texas, just south of Dallas. Yaqub, 40, opened fire during an argument at a youth football game — shooting and killing coach Michael Hickmon.
The sons of both Talib brothers played on one of the teams and Hickmon’s son played on the other, according to The Dallas Morning News.
The Red Sox were set to host the Mets on Friday night in the first tilt of a three-game weekend set at Fenway Park. However, torrential downpours spoiled the tilt in the bottom of the 4th inning, as play was suspended due to the poor weather.
The Mets were leading the contest 4–3, and play will resume on Saturday afternoon at Fenway as part of a day-night doubleheader.

USC is preparing to play its last year in the Pac-12 before the school officially moves to the Big Ten, along with UCLA. That means that the Trojans will have to develop new rivalries as part of being in a new conference.
Still, USC football coach Lincoln Riley hopes one rivalry remains intact. The Trojans second-year leader wants to try and continue their annual matchup with Notre Dame even after USC moves to the Big Ten.

Rahm played spectacularly Saturday, as he flew up the leaderboard at The Open. He is now in the mix at Royal Liverpool.
