Regardless of where someone’s fandom lies, at least one thing Damian Lillard and his agent deserve credit for is being brutally honest about the star’s interest in his next potential home. While trade chatter continues to swirl around the Trail Blazers star, everything continues to point back to the Heat as not only the primary focus, but it appears to be Lillard’s only team of interest at this point.
That point was driven home this week by The Athletic’s Shams Charania, who reported on the latest surrounding Lillard during an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show.

There’s nothing Pete Alonso loves more than hitting dingers.
“It’s the most addicting feeling,” Alonso said before last year’s Home Run Derby. “I mean, I can’t get enough of it. I don’t know if there’s anyone that loves hitting homers more than I do.”
The two-time Derby champion fell short in his pursuit of a three-peat last year, but this year’s event represented another opportunity to win his third career Derby and tie Ken Griffey Jr.’s record.

Bless you, Maglio. You’ve let us tell a happy Detroit story for once.
It’s October 14th, 2006. We’re at Comerica Park in Detroit for game four of the ALCS between the hometown Tigers and the Oakland A’s. Detroit, leading the series three games to none, is eager to celebrate. But right now, those plans are on hold – it’s tied in the bottom of the ninth with two outs. Sure, Maglio Ordonez is up at bat, but just being realistic here – we’re probably getting some free, playoff baseball via extra innings tonight.

In 2005, Gary Barnett was forced out as football coach at Colorado. His otherwise stellar career had been weighed down by allegations of recruiting improprieties, followed by insensitive comments about former kicker Katie Hnida, who said she was raped by a teammate. They went with shortstop Jacob Wilson, but it was where Manford said he played college ball that left people scratching their heads and wondering if Manfred had ever heard of one of the seven natural wonders of the world.

Up until the playoffs began, the 2022–23 campaign was a bit of a dream season for the Cavs.
Fresh off the disappointment of barely missing out on a playoff berth the season prior, the club snuck in and pulled off an enormous deal for Jazz star Donovan Mitchell, someone who almost perfectly seemed to fit the young team’s upward trajectory and need for postseason experience.
With him joining fellow All-Stars Darius Garland and Jarrett Allen, and budding star Evan Mobley, coach J.B.

Tennis legend Martina Navratilova appeared to react to comments from Megan Rapinoe over transgender participation in women’s sports as the soccer star gets set to participate in her final World Cup later this month.
Rapinoe was asked about transgender athletes in women’s sports in a recent interview with Time magazine. Rapinoe said lawmakers were “trying to legislate away people’s full humanity” and said she would accept a transgender woman replacing a biological female on the U.S. national team.
As the comments circulated across the internet, Navratilova chimed in with one word.
