Pujols spent more than 22 years in Major League Baseball; more than half of his life. However, he managed to finish on a high.
His final season, which he spent back with the St. Louis Cardinals was phenomenal. He hit 24 home runs and 68 RBIs, a more than significant uptick from what he had done in years. He even cracked the 700 home run mark, finishing his career with 703, good for 4th all-time.

Florida’s Anthony Richardson was projected to be the fourth QB off the board, but his odds of going higher have skyrocketed.
Anthony Richardson’s odds to become the first Florida player ever drafted No. 1 overall are rapidly improving.
The redshirt sophomore opened as a longshot to hear his name called first in April’s NFL draft, however, Richardson’s stock has skyrocketed in recent weeks after a few favorable mock drafts. He previously had odds as long as +10000 but he can now be found among the favorites to go first with odds as low as +750 at some sportsbooks.

This is probably the most significant of the new rules coming to baseball this year.
Baseball is back! Well, sort of. Spring training games start on Friday with three matchups (Rangers vs. Royals, Padres vs. Mariners and Red Sox vs. Northeastern University), and the first nationally televised games will air on MLB Network on Saturday and Sunday. (ESPN’s first spring training broadcast is Monday.) If you’re tuning in, you’ll notice the game looks slightly different from the way it did last year. The league made a few rule changes aimed at improving the on-field product.

Joey Chestnut is more than just a renowned hot dog-eating champion.
He is the greatest competitive eater in the history of the world.
Renowned every Fourth of July as the hot dog-eating king, Chestnut set the standard in 2021 by eating 76 hot dogs and buns in 10 minutes. Since 2007, he has won the Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Championship 15 times–and he plans to defend his crown again this July.

The forward did not play last season while detained in Russia.
This week, Brittney Griner officially announced her return to the Mercury for the 2023 season after she missed all of last year while detained in Russia over drug charges. On Friday, Phoenix posted its first video of Griner back in a Mercury uniform since her return the United States.
The team held a photoshoot with the center for the upcoming season and posted a behind the scenes video of the event. Griner can be seen smiling and playing around with a basketball and the crew in between shots.

Kansas City Chiefs running back Isiah Pacheco may not ever stop dancing. The 23-year-old rookie started the party in the second half of the Super Bowl and only continues to rock.
Pacheco, who was drafted in the seventh round of the 2022 NFL Draft, quickly emerged as the primary ball-carrier in Kansas City en route to Super Bowl LVII. He finished with 76 yards and a crucial touchdown in the comeback win over Philadelphia and won a ring in his first year in the league.

Not only that, but they’ve also announced a partnership with the Miami Nation of Indians of Indiana.
Indianapolis, the Triple-A affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates announced that the Indians moniker will stick around in 2023 and 2024. They’ve had that name since 1902.
