Joey Porter Jr. added another chapter to the ongoing drama between the Steelers and Bengals ahead of their matchup this weekend.
The back-and-forth started after Steelers receiver George Pickens was called out by fans and teammates alike for failing to block on a play against the Colts. Bengals receiver Tyler Boyd decided to fire a shot at the team’s division rival, saying it showed a lack of camaraderie in the Pittsburgh locker room.
On Thursday, Porter weighed in with his own thoughts on the matter.
“He wouldn’t know. He’s not in the locker room,” Porter told reporters.

As the musical guest on Saturday Night Live last weekend, pop star Billie Eilish performed two hit songs and starred in a comedy sketch with host Kate McKinnon.
She also found herself as the talk of the baseball world when she wore a No. 44 Jake Peavy White Sox jersey in the closing SNL segment when the cast waved goodbye to the audience.
Peavy, the 42-year-old former pitcher, was starstruck—and a bit perplexed—at one of the world’s most popular artists donning his jersey.

Historically, Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin has done an excellent job cultivating a culture around the team and keeping players in line. However, this season has not been a shining example of that. Former head coach Bill Cowher ripped wide receiver George Pickens and wants Tomlin to punish him.
This isn’t the first time Pickens has been discussed relative to locker room issues. Last year, Pickens yelled at Steelers coaches and demanded that they “throw [him] the f***king ball.”
In the grand scheme, not all that uncommon among NFL wide receivers.

A year after introducing the most dramatic changes in the sport in half a century, Major League Baseball announced on Thursday that it will again tweak the rules this year. The adjustments will be comparatively minor, chiefly that the pitch clock will start at 18 seconds, rather than 20, with runners on base; the league will widen the runner’s lane between home plate and first base to include the dirt between the foul line and the infield grass; and a pitcher who warms up on the mound must face at least one hitter.

Is there anything worse than the idea of accidentally taking a swig from the cup some other dude was using to catch his chew spit? I don’t know that there is. Having bamboo shoots jammed under your fingernails or being chopped to pieces by a maniac wielding a rusty machete is probably worse, but not by much. Unfortunately for Colorado Avalanche color commenator Mark Rycroft, he got a taste of what its like.

Baseball’s spending class has pulled out all the stops this season in an attempt to woo star Japanese pitcher Yoshinobu Yamamoto.
Why shouldn’t they? Yamamoto is 70-29 with an astounding 1.82 ERA and 922 strikeouts in seven Nippon Professional Baseball seasons. Behind Dodgers designated hitter and pitcher (and fellow 2023 World Baseball Classic champion) Shohei Ohtani, no free agent is more widely coveted.
On Thursday, Yankees manager Aaron Boone detailed how New York went about recruiting the 25-year-old. He revealed that he personally presented Yamamoto with a No.
