Houston Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud is expected to make his return to the field on Sunday vs. the Tennessee Titans as he is now out of concussion protocol.
Stroud missed the last two games after he suffered a concussion during the Texans’ Week 14 matchup vs. the New York Jets. He was hit by Jets defensive lineman Quinnen Williams in the fourth quarter of that game and hasn’t played since.
Thursday marked the second practice in a row in which Stroud participated in this week. He announced the news of his return after Thursday’s practice.

The question is no longer whether Russell Wilson will be on the Denver Broncos in 2024. Barring a major change in the current course, the former Pro Bowl quarterback will be gone next offseason.
The Broncos may try to trade Wilson, but the more likely outcome based on his contract is an outright release.

One of my favorite phenomenons over the last year or two has been retired NFLers offering to come out of retirement. Most of these guys have been out of the league for years, and despite all the offers, no one has really done it.
However, hockey guys? They’re playing well into their 40s and beyond, with some even coming back to the game after a few years on the figurative — and sometimes literal — beach.
Just a few weeks ago, Ilya Kovalchuk announced that he was signing a deal to return to pro hockey after some time away from the game.

The Texas Longhorns and Washington Huskies played one another almost exactly a year ago in the Alamo Bowl. The Longhorns and Huskies meet again Sunday in the Sugar Bowl with much higher stakes this time around.
For Texas, this is its first College Football Playoff appearance and best season since 2009, which ended with a loss in the national championship to Alabama.
