Former NFL quarterback turned ESPN analyst Robert Griffin III wasted no time at all promoting both himself – and of course Colin Kaepernick – as viable signal callers the New York Jets could look to sign following Aaron Rodgers’ early exit against the Buffalo Bills on Monday night.
RGIII didn’t even have the decency to wait for Rodgers’ official diagnosis – a season-ending torn Achilles – to be announced before blowing smoke.

From one NBA season to the next, we form opinions. Based on what we know, and what’s transpired with rosters across the league, which teams are primed to contend for the title? Which players are likely to make a run for the MVP award? More often than not, there’s a relatively short list of teams and players to choose from when looking ahead.
With that in mind, though, it can be a little bit tougher to gauge which young players are in the process of taking a leap to the next level. Growth isn’t always linear with youngsters, if growth ever happens at all.

Much of the college football landscape did not expect Colorado and first-year coach Deion Sanders to produce two wins in their first two games of the 2023 season.
However, despite the doubters, the Buffaloes (2–0) have notched victories against TCU—last year’s CFP runner-up—and most recently against their rival Nebraska on Saturday, putting Boulder, Colo., at the epicenter of college football as the home of the sport’s most exciting team.

There was a familiar face in the crowd on Monday when the Chicago Cubs visited the Colorado Rockies, or, at least, an impersonation of a familiar face: Steve Bartman.

Patrons have to open a tab at least 15 minutes before kickoff and the deal doesn’t cover food, but all drinks are on the house if the former Packers star’s team ends up losing.

1. There were so many days in July and August when I’d fire up the laptop to write this column and had absolutely nothing to write about. The daily mantra during those days was “get to football, get to football.” Today is one of those days where there is so much to say, I don’t know where to begin. So I will just throw out bullet points to try andtocover as much stuff from a shocking and wild Monday Night Football game as possible.

Aaron Rodgers suffered an apparent Achilles tear Monday night against the Jets. An MRI will confirm the injury later on Tuesday.
But because Rodgers didn’t jab himself with the coronavirus vaccine, there are people online who enjoyed his injury.
Like Keith Olbermann.
Olbermann mocked Rodgers by posting six syringe emojis on X with the caption, “Another #SuddenLisfranc due to failure to vaccinate.”
