Trail Blazers star Damian Lillard officially requested a trade on Saturday following months of speculation over his future in Portland. 
After the Blazers elected to hold onto the No. 3 pick and select Scoot Henderson in the 2023 NBA draft, Lillard met with the organization earlier in the week before reportedly making his decision on Saturday. 
Following Lillard’s trade request, Trail Blazers GM Joe Cronin issued a statement.

Rickie Fowler nearly lost his pro card. Now, he seemingly finds himself on the first page of the leaderboard every weekend.
Another weekend, another PGA Tournament where Rickie Fowler is at or near the top of the leaderboard. Entering the third round of this week’s Rocket Mortgage Classic at the Detroit Golf Club, Fowler was tied for second at 12-under par.
He played beautifully through the first two days. That has once again put him in position to snap his winless streak.

Matt Bush, the No. 1 pick in the 2004 Major League Baseball draft, was designated for assignment by the Milwaukee Brewers on Saturday.
Bush has struggled mightily for the Brewers since being acquired last August from the Texas Rangers in exchange for Antoine Kelly and Mark Mathias. The hard throwing right-hander, who has battled arm issues this season, owns a dismal 0-2 record with a 9.58 ERA and 1.65 WHIP over 10 1/3 innings.
In Friday’s 8-7 loss to the Pirates, Bush suffered his third blown save of the season after surrendering three earned runs in the the ninth inning.

Austin Reaves agreed to a four-year, $56 million early bird maximum contract to return to the Lakers, according to The Athletic’s Shams Charania.
Reaves’s deal also includes a player option in his fourth season, which would allow him to enter unrestricted free agency before the 2026–27 season. Charania also stated that Reaves’s contract has a “15% trade kicker and the maximum advance allowable.”
His new contract comes as part of the Lakers’ plan to keep him in Los Angeles long term.
