Hulu’s hit show The Bear released its second season last week and the drama is nothing short of a cultural moment. The show, starring Jeremy Allen White as Carmy Berzatto, centers around a talented chef who is trying to make his restaurant that bears the same name as the show a success. The show has nothing to do with the sports world—until one character is given a gift.
A somewhat random storyline surrounding former Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski begins to play a major role when Sydney, played by Ayo Edebiri, is gifted his book, Leading With Heart, by her father.

ESPN’s Brian Windhorst inadvertently created quite the stir earlier this week when he called into local Cleveland sports talk radio and said that there was some “outlandish” stuff that the Cavaliers were looking into this offseason to improve their roster.
Naturally, the internet took it and ran with it. It somehow got twisted into rumors that Cleveland was looking into trading either of its star guards, Darius Garland or Donovan Mitchell.
Windhorst called back into ESPN Cleveland to clarify his remarks from earlier this week.

Professional athletes, including NFL players, smoke weed and use cannabis. That’s just a fact, and nothing about said fact is surprising. What may be a bit of a shock is just how many players around the league indulge in the devil’s lettuce, which Travis Kelce estimates up to 80% of them take part.
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end hit a bit of a speed bump involving cannabis during his college days at Cincinnati when he was suspended for using the drug. Now, entering his 10th year in the NFL, he’s seen some things, including how players who do use cannabis consistently pass drug tests.

The men’s and women’s Money in the Bank ladder matches will take place Saturday at the eponymous pay-per-view in London, which will offer a clear indication of the direction WWE is headed in for its next six months of storytelling.
The women’s Money in the Bank ladder match has a history of the winner cashing in that very same night. Liv Morgan (2022), Bayley (’19) and Alexa Bliss (’18) all cashed in on the night of the victory, while Nikki A.S.H.

Jamil Muhammad has had one of the more unique journeys in college football. The 6-foot-1, 217-pound Alabama-native was a three-star quarterback recruit in the Class of 2019.

Muhammad, from Madison, Ala., played quarterback in high school. He threw for 1,773 yards and rushed for 942 yards as a senior while totaling 18 touchdowns.

Eight schools offered Muhammad a scholarship as a signal-caller, including Mississippi State and Ole Miss. Vanderbilt ultimately received his commitment.

Domonique Foxworth is one of many ESPN commentators who likes to play the race card. Almost all of his “hot takes” revolve around the theme that white people are bad. But on Wednesday, while discussing HBO’s “Hard Knocks” he actually delivered a strong — and correct — opinion.
I almost fell out of my office chair typing that. But it’s important to note that even people you disagree with on 90% of issues can sometimes say things that you do agree with. That falls within the 10%, after all.
And, we’d be a lot better off if more people did this.

Scottie Scheffler is playing so well that he is on a different level right now that only Tiger Woods could understand.
Comparisons to Tiger Woods happen all the time. However, Scottie Scheffler is statistically the only player that can be compared to the legendary golfer over the last two decades.
Scheffler has 14 top 10s this year and hasn’t missed a single cut. He has won twice and has two runner-up finishes. His lowest finish was T45 at the CJ Cup last October. Scheffler hasn’t been outside the top-12 since that event.
