Hunter Dickinson may be the current villain of college basketball. The 22-year-old senior, who it feels like has been playing longer than Perry Ellis, ruffles a lot of feathers.
It all started during his sophomore year, when Dickinson carried around the Big Ten championship trophy to interviews at media day that fall. He later called Wisconsin “scumbags,” wore a ski mask to their next meeting, and may have stomped on a Badgers player.
Like him or not, Dickinson doesn’t care and embraces the role. His most recent comments are sure to ignite more hatred amongst his former fanbase.

While the Jets are officially the subject of this year’s Hard Knocks, the HBO production will not include some of the same footage as in years past.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, New York is not allowing HBO to film some parts of training camp, including when the team informs players that they are cut, a departure from Hard Knocks episodes of years past.
“Hard Knocks will not be the same. They’re not going to be given the same access,” Schefter said, via Front Office Sports. “The Jets don’t believe it’s humane to show players being released.
NASHVILLE – The loud construction noise outside the hotel hosting SEC Media days was finally drowned out when Commissioner Greg Sankey took the stage. With 35 radio outlets with a table outside the main ballroom and over a thousand media members, Monday represented the official kickoff for the 2023 college football season.
It was business as usual for Sankey. But there was a moment that went off-script compared to past gatherings.
State legislatures passing laws that not only supersede NCAA rules but outright prohibit NCAA enforcement of its rules is ridiculous — and probably unconstitutional.
MLB’s original Shohei Ohtani sweepstakes found itself consumed by questions of fit.
In the winter of 2017, as Ohtani embarked on the process that ultimately led him to join the Angels, these questions kept popping up alongside the ordinary queries about what a player wants and where he might go. These felt more existential.
Reds prospect Christian Encarnacion-Strand is poised to make his major league debut after being recalled from Triple A. He’s slotted into Cincinnati’s lineup as the No. 7 batter and designated hitter in Monday’s game against the Giants.
But before he even walks on an MLB field for the first time in his career, he’s already made major league history by having the longest name on record in the history of the game.
This is kind of messy for the Las Vegas Raiders and New York Giants.
The NFL deadline for franchise tag players and their teams to agree on a multi-year contract passed Monday afternoon and neither Josh Jacobs nor Saquon Barkley got deals done.
Next stop … drama.
It already existed because neither Jacobs nor Barkley were willing to accept long-term contract offers from the Raiders and Giants, respectively. But with the passing of the deadline, they won’t be able to negotiate a deal until next offseason.
And it gets worse.

With Monday’s deadline having passed, what is next for Saquon Barkley and the Giants?
There is an old adage that holds “deadlines make deals.”
Unfortunately for Saquon Barkley and the New York Giants, that adage failed to come true on Monday. Now, the organization is facing the prospect of opening the 2023 season without their star running back in the backfield.
Under the NFL’s Collective Bargaining Agreement the deadline for teams to reach contract extensions with players under the franchise tag expired at 4:00 p.m. Eastern on Monday afternoon.
Brittany Mahomes she says she was not ready for the scrutiny that comes along with being married to an NFL superstar.
In a joint interview with CBS Mornings Monday, Patrick and Brittany discussed their relationship and their family’s rapid rise to fame.
“I was not prepared for this,” Brittany said. “And at such a young age. We were in love, and I loved him with all of my heart.
“But, you know, I didn’t expect it to skyrocket this soon, and us kind of just being thrown into the fire like this.
Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott had a season to forget in 2022, missing time due to a thumb injury and struggling with accuracy on the field.
After throwing 15 interceptions last year, tied with the Texans’ Davis Mills for the league high despite appearing in just 12 games, Dallas’s starting signal caller boldly guaranteed he’d throw fewer than 10 picks in 2023, though not everyone seems to be buying what he’s selling.
“I won’t have 10 interceptions this year,” said Prescott.
