Scottie Scheffler entered The Memorial Tournament as the world’s number one ranked player, according to the Official World Golf Rankings. He has been on a tear this year, despite his struggles with the putter.
Those struggles on the greens came to the forefront this week, which saw Scheffler just barely make the cut. But he appears to have found his game just in time to make a run.

Collin Morikawa was in contention ahead of the final round at The Memorial Tournament, but has withdrawn citing back spasms.
There will be one less player in the field on Sunday as two-time major winner Collin Morikawa has withdrawn from The Memorial. Heading into his round on Sunday, Morikawa sat at 4-under, two shots off the lead, but after attempting to warm up, he decided to withdraw because of back spasms.
He climbed 25 spots on moving day to get inside the Top 10 for the final day.

Rose Zhang won her second straight individual national championship less than two weeks ago. Incredibly, the 20-year-old entered the final day as the solo leader in her LPGA debut at the Mizuho Americas Open.
Ahead of her round on Sunday, she is trending on Twitter, and people are talking about her. What she is doing is unheard of and downright incredible.

Sahith Theegala had been playing some really good golf over the past few months. He finished ninth at The Masters and posted a Top 5 in the RBC Heritage. He hasn’t missed a cut since October.
But things didn’t go as planned at this week’s Memorial Tournament. Though, Theegala did keep his cut streak alive. He shot a four-over 76 in the first round, but managed to bounce back with a two-under 70 on Friday to get past the 36-hole cut.
But a 73 in round three assured that he wasn’t going to make a run at the championship. And, on Sunday, he started out well.

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Antonio Callaway was arrested Saturday in Miami for driving with a suspended license and failing to pay fines.
According to Andy Slater of Fox Sports 640, Callaway had an outstanding warrant related to driving offenses when he was taken into custody.

And this isn’t the first legal misstep for the 26-year-old.
During his rookie season with the Cleveland Browns, Callaway was cited for marijuana possession and driving with a suspended license.

Auburn baseball entered the NCAA Tournament as the No. 13 seed after going 34-21-1 during the 2023 season. Although the Tigers had a strong year, there was some commotion around their seeding, and the seeding of other SEC teams— especially considering who was in charge.
Auburn athletic director John Cohen sits on the NCAA’s Division I Baseball Selection Committee. Was there bias toward the south in his decision making? That is up for interpretation.
However, Cohen did admit after the bracket was released that he does not have much familiarity with the Northeast.

Mercedes gets a huge result in the 2023 Spanish Grand Prix
It was the kind of Sunday that Mercedes had been waiting for.
While no one would be able to catch Max Verstappen on this day in Barcelona, as the Red Bull driver pulled away from the field to win the Spanish Grand Prix, Mercedes secured a double podium in Barcelona, their first of the field. Lewis Hamilton came in second, followed by teammate George Russell, who placed third.
