Norma Hunt, the wife of Kansas City Chiefs founder Lamar Hunt and the mother of team’s current CEO Clark Hunt, died Sunday. She was 85.
The family announced her death via a statement released by the Chiefs on Sunday night.
“Kind, generous and unfailingly positive, mom was one of a kind,” the statement reads. “Her joy and zeal for life were infectious.”

Hunt — sometimes called “The First Lady of Football” — attended all 57 Super Bowls.
She even helped name sports’ biggest event.

It’s that time of year again! Conor Orr has released his 100 bold predictions for the 2023 season and if you haven’t checked it out yet, it’s must-read material. While Memphis Grizzlies fans and the NBA world are waiting to see what sort of suspension Ja Morant is handed for his latest gun-waving stunt, Stephen A. Smith says some in the NBA community are worried about a much bigger concern involving the superstar.
Smith recently joined ‘The Rich Eisen Show’ and dropped a bit of a bombshell in explaining that some folks he’s talked to involved with the league are worried about whether or not Morant will be alive in the next five years.

Former NASCAR racer Kenny Wallace revealed his unlikely, yet relatable reason for leaving Fox Sports.
Wallace, who retired from NASCAR in 2015 after a 25-year career, joined Fox Sports to cover the sport. However, the 59-year-old left the network in 2018—and he revealed why in a Q&A with The Athletic’s Jeff Gluck. 
Gluck asked Wallace a hypothetical question about what he would do if someone watched a video without headphones but with the sound on while waiting for a flight at an airport.

Tony Mitchell is willing to own his mistakes and learn from the consequences. The Alabama freshman defensive back made that clear during a profound speech over the weekend.
Mitchell, a four-star recruit in the Class of 2023, committed to play for the Crimson Tide over offers from Georgia, Texas A&M, Auburn, LSU, USC and Ohio State, among others. He chose to enroll early for the spring semester and got to Tuscaloosa in January.
However, while on spring break, Mitchell was arrested in Florida.

Hovland showed some moxy on the course, and his fun side off of it but he missed the mark when trying to pull one on The Bear.
Viktor Hovland took home The Memorial trophy on Sunday. and couldn’t resist trolling event host Jack Nicklaus. Well, he tried anyway. Most know that Nicklaus went to Ohio State University, or short, OSU. The Memorial is played in Dublin, Ohio, a brief 23-minute drive to the Buckeyes campus.
Hovland attended Oklahoma State University, also known as OSU.

If you’ve ever thought that you could hit major league pitching, think again. 
Perhaps the only decent feature of ESPN’s Sunday Night Baseball broadcasts is the ump cam, which brings viewers a behind-the-plate view of the game that allows them to get a sense of what it would be like to stand in the batter’s box against a big leaguer.

Last month, Gatorade challenged me (Ryan Bagdikian, a social media producer at Sports Illustrated) to try its new workout technology, Gatorade GX. I’m in relatively bad shape—i.e., I’m definitely not a pro athlete—and it’s safe to say the workout Gatorade provided for me definitely differed from my normal nightly walk.
Needless to say, I was classified as a “top sweater” at the event.

The Colts announced Monday they’ve signed former first-round draft pick Breshad Perriman. In a corresponding move, Indianapolis released wide receiver Tyler Adams. 
Perriman was selected with the No. 26 pick in the 2015 NFL draft out of UCF by the Ravens and has bounced around the league ever since. The wideout has played for the Ravens, Browns, Jets and had two separate stints with the Buccaneers. 
Over his seven-year career, Perriman has tallied 145 catches for 2,343 yards and 16 touchdowns.
