Jimmy Butler was not perturbed after the Nuggets’ 104-93 win against Miami in Game 1 of the NBA Finals on Thursday at Ball Arena.
After all, Miami became only the second No. 8 seed to reach the championship series and the Heat’s route to get there was not a piece of cake. Anxious Heat fans awaiting the return of Tyler Herro will have to stay on standby for a little longer, according to the latest update from Miami coach Erik Spoelstra.
Ahead of Sunday’s Game 2 of the NBA Finals, Spoelstra confirmed the team remains without a return timeline for Herro, who has been out since April 16 with a broken right hand. The longtime coach also shot down an ESPN report released prior to the Heat’s 103–94 Game 1 loss to the Nuggets on Thursday stating there was a “possibility” the 23-year-old could return for Game 2.

Cooper Lee, an Alabama basketball team manager, told The New York Times that he, not freshman player Kai Spears, was in Brandon Miller’s car at the time of the January 15th deadly shooting.
“I can confirm that I was the passenger in Brandon Miller’s car at the time of the shooting,” Lee told The Times.
In its initial reporting of the shooting, The New York Times said that Spears was in Miller’s car along with Jaden Bradley and Darius Miles that night.
