The Oakland A’s have one foot out the door on their way to Las Vegas. And they’re not concerned with making any friends as a lame duck organization.
A’s fans have organized multiple “protests,” most notably the so-called reverse boycott at the Oakland Coliseum.
Their efforts to get team owner John Fisher to sell the franchise have even moved across the bay. At a San Francisco Giants home game against the A’s, both sets of fans united in calling for Fisher to sell the team.
Even Rob Manfred has admitted that the A’s stadium situation is his “biggest regret” as commissioner.

Italian Martina Trevisan is the No. 76 player in the world and on Thursday she faced off against Germany’s Noma Noha Akugue, the 206th-ranked player in the world.

A Georgia Bulldogs defensive lineman was pulled over for speeding Monday morning. Then, to make matters worse, he was arrested on a previous warrant later that afternoon.
Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins, a redshirt sophomore, was dinged for speeding in Franklin County, Georgia.
According to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, Ingram-Dawkins was clocked going 90 miles per hour in a 70 miles per hour zone. According to Athens Banner-Herald
However, Ingram-Dawkins was arrested later that afternoon due to an outstanding warrant.

The fight that the boxing world has been anticipating for five years, will finally go down in Las Vegas on Saturday night when Terence Crawford (39-0, 30 KO), the current WBO welterweight champion steps into the ring to face Errol Spence Jr. (28-0, 22 KO) who holds the WBC, IBF and WBA titles.
The odds makers at SI Sportsbook have installed Crawford (-145) as the slight favorite, most likely factoring in that he has been the more active fighter, while Spence has only fought twice since 2019.

Cardinals starting pitcher Miles Mikolas has been suspended five games after he plunked Cubs outfielder Ian Happ on Thursday night, Major League Baseball Senior Vice President for On-Field Operations Michael Hill announced Friday.
Mikolas was also slapped with an undisclosed fine, while St. Louis manage Oliver Marmol was suspended one game and fined because of the incident.
The Cardinals ace plunked Happ after the outfielder struck Cardinals catcher Willson Contreras in the head with his bat on his backswing after swinging at an offering in the first inning.

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow will miss “several weeks” with a calf strain, according to head coach Zac Taylor.
The news comes just a day before the Bengals were set to practice at Paycor Stadium as part of the NFL’s “back together weekend.” And with the team’s open training camp period starting on Monday.
Burrow was carted off the field after pulling up during a team drill at practice on Thursday. The non-contact nature of the injury led to worst case fears of a torn ACL.
