Wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins has been on the open market for nearly a week now after he was released by the Cardinals. As he continues his search for a new home, one contender is reportedly unlikely to sign him—and the reason is apparently Hopkins’s high asking price.
Hopkins is looking for a deal on the same level as the one-year contract Odell Beckham Jr. got from the Ravens, which came with $15 million in guaranteed salary and up to $3 million in incentives, according to The Athletic‘s Tim Graham.

Twins reliever Jorge López had a really bad night on Wednesday—made even worse by an unfortunate mixup in the dugout after his outing was over. 
After Louie Varland pitched seven scoreless innings against the Twins, López was called upon to pitch the eighth inning. He wasn’t exactly as spotless as Varland, though. The very first pitch López threw was a fastball that could not possibly have been more in the middle of the zone. Jake Meyers jumped on it and hit a home run to right-center. Christian Braun caught the eye of NBA evaluators when he emerged as a key player on the Kansas Jayhawks’ 2022 national championship team. The Denver Nuggets selected the 6’6 junior wing with the No. 21 overall pick in the ensuring NBA Draft.
SB Nation gave the Nuggets a B+ grade for the pick, writing “Love this pick for the Nuggets. Braun plays with great intensity, can get after it at the point of attack defensively, and has even more shooting upside than his college numbers show.

MMA fighter Mike Dragich has faced his share of beasts, animals, and ruthless destroyers throughout his fight career. However this time, this one didn’t have human blood.
The 33-year-old fighter, who is also a licensed gator trapper (what a resume builder!) encountered the 10-foot alligator outside of a Jacksonville, Florida, elementary school earlier this week.
Whereas everyone else would run away from danger, the 2-2 fighter’s instincts as well as training has taught him never to back down from a fight – even if it’s something that there’s no negotiating with.
