The Brewers are placing shortstop Willy Adames on the seven-day injured list after he was struck in the head by a teammate’s foul ball during Milwaukee’s 15–1 loss to the Giants on Friday.
Adames sustained the injury in the second inning, when a line drive from third baseman Brian Anderson line drive sailed into the Brewers’ dugout and appeared to hit the shortstop while he sat on the bench.
Later in the game, NBC Sports Bay Area’s commentators reported that Adames was transported to a local hospital for “tests and scans.
