After “much thoughtful feedback from Los Angeles’ diverse communities” the Dodgers have decided to re-invite the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence to its 10th annual LGBTQ+ Pride Night. They also issued an apology to the drag group, members of the LGBTQ+ community, and their friends and families.

The decision to reincorporate the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence comes less than seven days after the team chose to remove the group from the event.

Just last week, the NFL announced it is going to exclusively stream a Wild Card game this season. And I wrote at the time: “Streaming isn’t going anywhere. It’s clearly the future of broadcasting. On Sunday, the Yankees faced the Cincinnati Reds. The game started at an unusual time: 11:35 a.m. Eastern time. Why? Because NBC’s streaming service, Peacock, had exclusive rights to the game and wanted it to start in an exclusive window.
On Monday, the Yankees are off.

An all-2000s NBA player decided to officially retire.
In a heartfelt goodbye video, longtime NBA forward Carmelo Anthony — an elite scorer and perennial All-Star — announced his retirement from the NBA after 19 seasons.

Now, it may be a head-scratching name since most of us assumed Anthony was already retired, now a year removed from NBA basketball.
Melo made it official Monday. And the NBA said goodbye to an unfailingly impressive player.

Newly retired forward Carmelo Anthony’s career was closely intertwined with that of Lakers forward LeBron James. 
The two were both picked in the iconic 2003 draft: James first by the Cavaliers and Anthony third by the Nuggets. They nearly met in the 2009 NBA Finals, though both players’ teams succumbed in the conference finals. Their friendship has been well-documented, and they were teammates in Los Angeles during Anthony’s final season.
Appropriately, James heaped praise upon Anthony as he announced his exit from basketball Monday morning.
