The PFL’s acquisition of Francis Ngannou has brought instant excitement and anticipation, with a major question now surrounding who will be his first opponent.
Ngannou is likely to box first, which is smart. Considering he is not expected to make his Professional Fighters League debut until mid-2024, that allows him plenty of time to train and prepare for a bout against a major name like Tyson Fury, Anthony Joshua or Deontay Wilder. One of the more notable scheduling differences for the upcoming season is that ABC-ESPN will have four doubleheaders on Monday Night Football. These aren’t traditional doubleheaders, though. The games will overlap. North referred to them as side-by-side games. In Weeks 2 and 3, one game will start at 7:15 p.m. ET and the other at 8:15 p.m. ET. In Week 14, both games will start at 8:15 p.m. ET.

At 1:56 am, The Florida Panthers won the first game of the Eastern Conference Finals 3-2 over the Carolina Hurricanes. With 12.7 seconds left in the 4th Overtime period, Matthew Tkachuk, skating on his 53rd shift of the night, scored the game winner.
