Comedian Bill Maher is well known for his hard takes on political issues, which you can see each week on his HBO show, Real Time With Bill Maher.
But he’s also a huge sports fan, which you can get more of sense for with his podcast, Club Random With Bill Maher, which announced Monday that it is joining The Arena Group’s platform and will have new episodes every Sunday night. Maher has had some great episodes already with Aaron Rodgers, Mike Tyson and other sports stars and famous broadcasters, and he has some more big-name folks from the sports world coming up on future shows.

Almost one year to the date of LIV Golf’s inaugural event, the golf world was upended again by the announcement of a PGA Tour-DP World Tour-LIV Golf deal. Here are the details of the alliance and its aftershocks.
Pro Football Hall of Famer Rod Woodson mutually agreed on Sunday to part ways with XFL’s Vegas Vipers, the team he coached this past season.
In the league’s first season back, the Vipers finished with a 2–8 record, which was the worst in the North Division.
“We want to thank Rod for his hard work and commitment to the Vipers and the League last season,” XFL president Russ Brandon said in a statement. “During Rod’s time with the team, the players had an incredible opportunity to learn and benefit from his experience.
Saquon Barkley has yet to sign the franchise tag for the upcoming season as he and the Giants continue to try and work out a long-term deal. During the offseason, there have been several reports about him turning down offers and the star running back addressed it all while at his AMPT football camp on Sunday.
“I would like to address that I feel like there’s been some things out there that’s been misleading,” Barkley said. “I’ve been public. I’ve been open about it. I said I want to be a Giant for life.

Why Ford could hold the key to Max Verstappen’s future
Max Verstappen is currently under contract with Red Bull through the 2028 season. But could the world champion make a shocking move to another team at the end of his current deal, or leave Formula 1 entirely?
And might Ford somehow hold the key to his racing future?
Verstappen has certainly opened the door to leaving F1 before.
Big 12 commissioner Brett Yormark claims he’s never pursued adding Memphis.
Yormark and the Big 12 are currently in the process of trying to add more teams amid realignment chaos.
The conference is definitely targeting teams from the PAC-12 as its top priority. If that fails, the Big 12 will then work its way down a list of options among G5 programs.

It was recently reported the Tigers could be on that list, but Yormark says that’s simply not true.

We made our annual trip to wine country over the weekend, which means NASCAR wives got tanked, drivers let loose in robes, and one even got called out for his manhood. True story.
Oh yeah — Sunday’s main event at Sonoma? That kind of sucked. We’re nothing if not honest here, and I have to call it fair. No stage breaks, no real cautions, like three leaders all day and zero drama.
Ain’t exactly my recipe for a road course race, but it is what it is. Can’t all be winners, you know.
Now, NASCAR takes a rare break before we leave FOX and head to NBC for the second half of the season.
The Pittsburgh Pirates have been the biggest surprise of the 2023 MLB season, as they’re currently in first place in the NL Central with a 34-30 record.
One of the biggest reasons for their success has been their star pitcher, Mitch Keller. The right-hander picked up his eighth win of the season on Sunday after giving up just two hits in seven innings of work at home against the New York Mets.
Keller has some really filthy stuff, which Mets center fielder Brandon Nimmo found out about firsthand on Sunday.
Most people mistakenly tackled by security in front of thousands of people would be furious, but not Adam Hadwin. The PGA Tour pro is taking the wild and hilarious moment in stride after being tackled by popping champagne with Nick Taylor.
In case you missed it, Taylor drained a 70-foot eagle putt on the fourth playoff hole on Sunday to win the RBC Canadian Open over Tommy Fleetwood. Taylor snapped a 69-year drought of a Canadian winning the country’s open championship.
As one would expect, pure mayhem ensued after his eagle putt dropped.
