Notre Dame may be in the market for a new apparel deal. 
The Irish’s exclusive negotiating window with current apparel sponsor Under Armour has expired, sources tell Sports Illustrated, thrusting arguably college football’s most valuable brand into the open market.
Notre Dame’s 10-year contract with Under Armour, believed to be worth $90 million, ends after next season. UA replaced Adidas as Notre Dame’s apparel outfit in 2014 in what was at the time believed to be the most lucrative apparel contract in college athletics history.

Wednesday baseball was awesome.
Not only did Justin Verlander get his first win of the season yesterday, the win over the Reds means Verlander has officially beaten all 30 major league baseball teams.
Yeah, that’s cool.
It’s also cool that the Orioles took a series from the Rays and the Yankees finally got their first sweep of the season, albeit vs. the Athletics. What was most exciting about it was rookie Anthony Volpe’s first career grand slam.
In fact, Wednesday was a good day all around as we also won both of our plus money bets involving the Tigers in the matinee.

Max Alves, a winger for the Colorado Rapids of the MLS, has been suspended due to his alleged connection with illegal sports gambling.
Colorado, along with the MLS, released statements announcing that a player on the Rapids’ roster had been suspended without naming Alves. ESPN is reporting that Alves is the unnamed player as he was linked in a report from Brazilian outlet O Globo.
The report out of Alves’ home country alleges he is part of an investigation that shows that he was paid $12,000 by an organization to receive a yellow card in a match against the LA Galaxy in September 2022.

Sanders brought his son with him after taking the Colorado job to be QB1 of the Buffaloes. A ton of hype has been injected into the program and fans are buzzing before a game has even been played.

Casey Thompson is taking his talents to FAU.
The former Texas and Nebraska quarterback announced Wednesday night that he’s transferring to FAU to, once again, play for Tom Herman.
Herman was his coach for a few years at Texas. Thompson left the Cornhuskers after appearing to lose the QB1 role to Jeff Sims.
