Lonnie Walker IV was a key component of the Lakers’ success in the second round against the Warriors, with his Game 4 heroics standing out in particular.
After Los Angeles eliminated Golden State in six games in the Western Conference semifinals, Stephen Curry delivered the perfect gift to Walker, a signed jersey, inscribed with a hilarious reminder of the game Lakers fans have dubbed “Game IV.”

Monty Williams, who spent four seasons as Suns head coach, has been dismissed, sources told ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski on Saturday night.
After a near four-hour delay, the Mets‘ game against the Nationals on Saturday was suspended with one out in the top of the third inning and fans were not pleased.
When the first pitch was thrown, there was just light rain, but as the game progressed the precipitation increased. After less than an hour of play, the tarp was placed on the field with the Nationals leading 1–0 in the top of the third inning.
Although the tarp was eventually removed when the rain subsided, the grounds crew was unable to get the field back in playable condition.
Steph Curry and the Warriors never will forget what Lonnie Walker IV did to them in the fourth quarter of Game 4.
The Cowboys kicked off their offseason rookie minicamp on Thursday without Mike McCarthy after the head coach underwent a back procedure last week, ESPN’s Todd Archer reported Saturday.
McCarthy, 59, has been away from the team since his surgery, and participated in virtual meetings over the first two days of camp, per Archer. The veteran coach’s procedure reportedly aimed to address back issues he has dealt with over the years.
It’s unknown at this time how long McCarthy’s hiatus will last, but the team is currently not expecting it be a long absence, according to ESPN.
The Suns and coach Monty Williams are reportedly parting ways, according to a report from Shams Charania of The Athletic.
The move comes following Phoenix’s second-round playoff exit against the Nuggets on Thursday. Williams has been the Suns coach since the 2018–19 season, reaching the playoffs in three of his four seasons at the helm and winning the NBA’s Coach of the Year award twice.
In total, he amassed a 194–115 record and led the team to the 2021 NBA finals, but failed to deliver the championship the organization coveted.
There has been some wondering as to whether or not long-time Packers kicker Mason Crosby will return to Green Bay next season.
While nothing is concrete yet, his wife appears to have hinted that his time drilling kicks at Lambeau Field — at least as a Packer — could be over.
There’s a somewhat unexpected character in this story, and that is Olympic gymnast Simone Biles. How we get from her to a hint at Crosby’s future sounds like a “6 degrees of Kevin Bacon” kind of thing, but I promise we’ll get there.
The Yankees battled back against the Rays on Saturday to overcome a six-run deficit and steal a win. It’s been a sluggish start to the season in New York, but the team moved out of the cellar of the AL East following its win against Tampa.
Aaron Judge played a critical role in the Yankees’ victory, launching two home runs and registering four RBIs. After the game, Judge was asked about the early struggles from the franchise and the frustration of the fanbase, to which he gave a blunt response.
“To be honest, we don’t listen to it,” Judge said.
The energy inside Scotiabank Arena was electric on Saturday when Toronto hosted the first ever WNBA game on Canadian soil.
There were a lot of people who were very excited about the news that the Washington Commanders had been sold. The difference for ESPN analyst Robert Griffin III is that he was on television when he caught wind of this news.
The former No.2-overall pick for the then-Redskins back in 2012 couldn’t help but show his excitement that the franchise’s Snyder era was in the rearview mirror.
Overjoyed FOR THE FANS of the Washington Commanders and it’s players.
