Florida State is ready for the Atlantic Coast Conference to fork over additional revenue, at the expense of other member schools. Along with the Seminoles, a number of ACC schools are looking for more money in the current television deal, even if it means an uneven revenue split.
The biggest question is what can the conference actually do when it comes to further incentives for schools like Florida State, Clemson and Virginia Tech. There is certainly a problem in the ACC, with some schools feeling as if they pull more weight than others.

While the PGA Championship may rank fourth on most people’s lists of golf’s major championships, the event has done nothing but deliver over the past handful of years. And there’s no reason to believe it won’t do the same this week.
We’re likely not going to see another 50-year-old hoist the Wanamaker Trophy on Sunday like Phil Mickelson did in 2021, but that’s not to say we aren’t in store for another epic PGA Championship week as the tournament’s recent history speaks for itself.

The NBA’s 2020 bubble never felt real even to some of us who were in it, and so it is easy to say the achievements there were also not real. But that’s lazy and illogical. The bubble was weird because it was sterile, it was mentally draining and players who were used to feeding off the energy of a crowd had to manufacture that energy themselves. Victory celebrations seemed muted, and losses created a why-did-I-even-come-down-here vibe. But everybody understood the games counted just as much, and a genuine championship was on the line. It wasn’t easier to win than in most years.

After Jayson Tatum’s dominant 51-point performance in the Celtics’ Game 7 win over the 76ers on Sunday, the forward had a quick message for famous Sixers fan Kevin Hart.
“Special shoutout to Kevin Hart,” Tatum said. “You know, I want him to still answer my phone calls even after today. No hard feelings.”
The comedian, who is a Philadelphia native, was obviously upset about his favorite team being eliminated from the playoffs. But he still managed to be gracious while congratulating Tatum. Well, sort of.

The defending national champions got some great news to start their week.
Dylan Raiola, the top-ranked quarterback in the 2024 recruiting class, announced on Monday that he was committing to Georgia. Raiola is the consensus QB1 in the 2024 class, as well as the top-ranked prospect overall. The 6’3, 220-pound quarterback is the son of Dominic Raiola, who played his entire NFL career as a center with the Detroit Lions.

ESPN’s Sunday Night Baseball broadcast is facing criticism from fans following an in-game interview with Triston Casas during the Red Sox’s clash against the Cardinals.
Boston’s first baseman was wearing the mic for an in-game interview with ESPN’s broadcast booth when Karl Ravech posed an uncomfortable question. 
Casas, whose mother died when he was young, was asked what Mother’s Day means to him, resulting in an awkward moment during the broadcast.

Jayson Tatum, star of the title-favorite Celtics, has the best odds to win Finals MVP heading into the conference finals.
Boston is well ahead of its contemporaries in the betting markets and the same goes for Tatum, who has better odds than Nikola Jokić, LeBron James and Jimmy Butler, the leaders of the other three teams that are still standing. Of the players available to wager on, only James has ever won the award before.
Tatum entered the NBA Finals last season with the second-best odds to win Finals MVP behind Stephen Curry, who ultimately won the award.

The calendar has moved past the 2023 NFL draft, so now we’re at the point in the offseason where we go from NFL mock drafts to “fantasy” mocks. With most of the free agents signed, the rookies drafted and more news coming out about the status of players returning from injuries, mock drafts will be much closer in terms of their potential accuracy of player values and projected draft positions.
