Much of the focus is at the top of the draft, where teams resorted to mass tanking measures to up their chances of winning the lottery and the chance to select French sensation Victor Wembanyama. But with key milestones in the draft calendar like the NCAA tournament and Portsmouth Invitational already in the books and the NBA draft combine fast approaching, it’s a good time to check in on how I’ve ranked the top prospects in this class.

My friends (not really) at Good Morning Football on the NFL Network did a fun exercise this week in which hosts ranked all the NFL’s starting quarterbacks in tiers.
It was interesting.
And fun.
Even though they got it wrong.

What a week it has been! The Red Sox swept the Blue Jays at Fenway with the over hitting on every game of the four game series, Bryce Harper returned successfully to the Phillies lineup, Max Scherzer looks like he may need sticky stuff and Justin Verlander got the Jacob deGrom treatment: he delivered a strong start but got no run support.
Not-so-breaking news: The Mets are still the Mets.

Tennis legend Martina Navratilova has been outspoken about transgender women (biological men) competing against biological female athletes, and she’s not happy with cyclist Austin Killips’ latest stunt.
Killips recently became the first transgender woman to win an official Union Cycliste International (UCI) event at a race in New Mexico. With his win, Killips also won the overall title for the Tour of the Gila five-race event.
In a class where the draft industrial complex determined one quarterback was too short (Bryce Young), one quarterback was too raw (Anthony Richardson) and one quarterback was too infatuated with mayonnaise (Will Levis), spurring a long evening in front of blood-sucking network cameras for Levis, it’s surprising I’m still most sympathetic toward C.J. Stroud.
NESN shut down its Twitter comments after Olivia Pichardo blew her opening pitch Wednesday night at Fenway Park.
Pichardo is the first female D1 baseball player in the history of the sport, and has one at bat on the season for Brown. She stepped to the mound Wednesday night prior to the Red Sox/Blue Jays game, and things didn’t go well.
She missed the plate by a stunning distance, and that’s probably why NESN won’t let anyone comment on the video.
Olivia Pichardo, the first woman to play NCAA Division 1 baseball, threw out the first pitch at Fenway Park.
Nobody likes to predict future failure. Yet in the NFL draft, we see high picks flame out all the time. This year, we saw 20 former first-round picks have their fifth-year options declined.
So which of the AFC picks surrounded by hype could be cautionary tales in the coming years? It’s time to take a hard look at not only the player but the team and situation, along with potential pitfalls out of their control.

Every year a handful of rookies from the first round of the NFL draft make an immediate impact on the field, leading to postseason appearances for their respective teams and prestigious individual awards.
Last year, it was Jets cornerback Sauce Gardner, the first rookie cornerback to be named first-team All-Pro since 1981. The year before, it was Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase and Cowboys edge rusher Micah Parsons.
This year likely won’t be any different with a few first-round rookies becoming difference-makers for their teams.

Speaking ahead of the Miami Grand Prix, both George Russell and Max Verstappen are ready to move on from Azerbaijan
One of the major Formula 1 storylines coming out of the Azerbaijan Grand Prix was the friction between George Russell and Max Verstappen both on the track, and off. The two came into contact early in Saturday’s Sprint race, and following the finish had a tense exchange trackside.
While their war of words continued into Sunday ahead of the Grand Prix, it seems both drivers are now ready to turn the page.
