Asante Samuel, who won two Super Bowls with the Patriots, made an extremely bold assertion while speaking with TMZ Sports on Monday.
Samuel stated that if seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady came out of retirement to play for the Patriots, New England would win another championship this season.
“This terrible team that everybody sees it is a terrible team,” said Samuel, who played in the NFL from 2003 through ’13, including five seasons with the Patriots. “Brady can come right now, today, and win a Super Bowl for the New England Patriots. Because that’s Tom Brady.

Just two days after his team was embarrassed on national television against the 49ers, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones did his weekly interview on 105.3 The Fan where he made some puzzling comments on one of his team’s star players.
Jones, who emphatically supported quarterback Dak Prescott after he threw three interceptions in the 42–10 blowout, was asked if he wants the team to get CeeDee Lamb more opportunities. It might have happened, but Arizona State president Michael M. Crow judged Sanders too green for the job last September.
“I get a lot of messages about Deion and Deion seems to be in just his early age of learning how to be a coach,” Crow said of then-Jackson State coach Sanders on KTAR-FM in Glendale, Ariz. shortly after the Sun Devils fired coach Herm Edwards in 2022.
