It’s almost like an episode of The Twilight Zone. In the first two nights of the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs, we’ve had two players score four goals — which accounted for all of their team’s scoring — only to lose.

Hunter Dickinson, arguably the highest-profile transfer in the portal era and perhaps even all time, brought his high-stakes recruitment to an end Thursday by picking Bill Self and Kansas over a long list of suitors that also included Kentucky, Villanova, Maryland and Georgetown. AEW wrestler Dr. Britt Baker was involved in controversy this week over a newly released T-shirt featuring her bruised face. 
On the April 21 episode of Dynamite, Baker came to the defense of Adam Cole (her real-life boyfriend) as he was being beaten down by Chris Jericho and Daniel Garcia. After confronting Jericho, Baker was attacked by The Outcasts (Saraya, Toni Storm and Ruby Soho). The attack left Baker with a black eye, which she showed off in an Instagram post two days later. AEW subsequently began selling a shirt featuring the photo Baker had posted, which proved to be controversial.

Alabama has made the decision to fire baseball coach Brad Bohannon. The news comes after the baseball program has been tied to suspicious activity centered around sports betting.
The school has been closely monitoring the situation over the past five days, along with the NCAA and the SEC. Multiple states suspended betting on Alabama baseball after suspicious activity was noted in the LSU-Alabama game on April 28.
Alabama athletic director Greg Byrne released a statement on Thursday morning detailing the firing process of Bohannon.

Alabama has started the process of firing baseball coach Brad Bohannon as an investigation into a betting scandal surrounding the program continues, the university announced Thursday morning.
While not addressing the scandal directly, university director of athletics Greg Byrne announced the decision.
“Alabama director of athletics Greg Byrne announced he has initiated the termination process for head baseball coach Brad Bohannon for, among other things, violating the standards, duties, and responsibilities expected of University employees,” the statement began.

White Sox pitcher Liam Hendriks is nearing a return to the big leagues following his completion of treatment for stage 4 non-Hodgkins lymphoma in December.
The 34-year-old closer is completing his rehab assignment in Triple-A Charlotte this weekend before returning to the White Sox next week. He is cancer-free now and is ready to turn his full focus back to baseball.
“As of now I have a clean bill of health,” Hendriks told reporters on Wednesday. “I’m currently in remission.
