IRVING, Texas — SEC officials have explored a wide range of options in their pursuit of strengthening the league’s penalty structure on fans storming the field, including even banning a team from a bowl game, forfeiting a game or giving up a future home game, commissioner Greg Sankey said Tuesday.
Speaking after Day 1 of a three-day College Football Playoff spring meeting in this Dallas suburb, Sankey confirmed a report from Sports Illustrated earlier this week about the league considering a penalty that would require teams to forfeit a future home game for storming the field.

Stay classy, LA… Edmonton Oilers forward Evander Kane is calling out LA Kings fans after the alleged mistreatment of a 10-year-old Oilers fan who is battling brain cancer.
Kane spoke out in support of Cecily Eklund, who attended Game 3 of the Oilers-Kings postseason series at Crypto.com Arena on Friday. The Oilers star shared that Cecily was harassed by Kings fan during a trip to the restroom and spat on for wearing a Kane jersey.

The Vikings hold the 23rd overall selection in the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft. The team needed to get itself in a better situation in terms of the salary cap this offseason and that included releasing veteran wide receiver Adam Thielen. With no significant offseason adds, the Vikings clearly have a need for a playmaker opposite Justin Jefferson.

Magic forward Paolo Banchero was named the NBA’s Rookie of the Year for the 2022-23 NBA season Tuesday evening. Moments after the announcement was made, Banchero sat down for a live interview with Charles Barkley on TNT. 
After congratulating Banchero on his achievement, Barkley couldn’t help but take a hilarious jab at fellow Inside the NBA analyst Shaquille O’Neal. 
Barkley ran Banchero through a bit of Orlando basketball history, informing the 20-year-old that he was already the second best big man in franchise history, behind only Dwight Howard.

Let’s not waste too much time going over the reasons why it’s unfair for a biological man to compete against women. We all know this. Anyone who argues that at this point is just being difficult.

Paolo Banchero of the Magic has been named the 2022-23 NBA Rookie of the Year, the league announced Tuesday night.
Banchero averaged a team-high 20 points, 6.9 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game this season. The 20-year-old earned 98 of 100 first-place votes. Utah’s Walker Kessler earned the other two first-place votes
Banchero, who became the third Magic player to win the Rookie of the Year honors, joining Shaquille O’Neal and Mike Miller, shot 42.7% from the field, notched 14 double-doubles and scored at least 20 points in 40 games, which led all rookies this season.
